He'll be a lot more physically mature at 20, another develop year won't hurt him at all. There's no rush, next year is going to be very similar to this year for the Canucks.

Nobody said to rush OJ but did say he could force his way in. On talent alone he makes the team but u can bet he gets a 9 game audition at least.

Stetcher was short, but he was stocky for his size. I agree that he has more skill than some of the dman on the team right now, but people act like he's dominating the OHL and going back another year will ruin him.

The only thing that could ruin him is getting manhandled by grown men on a nightly basis.

I'm all for Europe or the OHL again unless he forces his way onto the team by really earning it and showing he can handle playing against bigger bodies.

Biega is Vegas bait or he'll be back in Utica or as a the #8 dman. Again, assuming OJ makes the team is ridiculous. If he earns it by outplaying multiple vets, then sure, waive someone or trade them. Cross that bridge when you get there, assuming you ever do.

Stetcher is 5'10"(probably even a tad shorter) and 190 lbs, that's far from a skinny kid. If he was an 6 feet tall, he'd be around 200+ lbs.


Juolevi is 6'3" and 180-185 lbs, tall/lanky/skinny is how anyone who watches hockey regularly would describe him. If he was Stetcher's height with that same ratio, he'd be tiny.

It's nice to see Bo finally out on the ice for final minutes of a game. Leading scorer and all. Just don't get why the Sedins and Sutter have to be overplayed for all that time.

How can the kids ever learn without getting a shot. Don't see how they did anything less then Sedins in this game. Sven, Goldy, BB and Boucher to name a few.

Last year they needed 12 dmen because of injuries. They don't need to trade a Dman for immediate help, they're a few years away from even being decent. Draft and develop your own talent. Keep you're depth on D.

Poirier did look pretty promising at one point, his AHL numbers during his first year were pretty damn good after a solid junior career. Better than fans who start slotting in guys who haven't even played a single AHL game, let alone NHL game.

No one here is assuming that at all. It was mentioned that some of the MSM have said he might play next year.

When we had a healthy D group this year Stecher played in Utica and Tramkin stayed in the press box.

It is very possible Vegas take Miller and then we have 8 Dmen without OJ
