There are some players out there that have a little nastiness in there game that are also rated on various lists to be in the top 10-12 range.
Patrick, Vilardi, Rasmussen and Glass. Apparently Neças also plays with a bit of bite.
I would hope we go for either Foote or Valimaki depending where we pick of course.
I want my top players to have some bite and pushback, the last 15 years of Canuck Fandom have been embarrassing for me. - Reubenkincade
Me too. The team needs skill to win, but it needs swagger and guys who will dive infront of pucks to win a game. I love the Sedins but they aren't fierce. I'm looking forward to the days of a team led by Bo Boeser Tram etc. Glass would be a great pick imo. Im pretty high on Patrick / Glass / Foote / Tippet. |

I just read that Callan Foote is 6'6" and loves to throw
huge hits. Drafting a kid like that would allow a Tanev trade that could bring back a young forward. I we are 6-9 and Mittlestadt is gone
That may be worth a look.
Owen Tippet looks like a beast as well if Gaudette can become a 2LC he may be worth drafting over a C. - kevingram
Cole fraser, let's take him 5th overall this year.
Let's really shake things up.
Good size, not 6 foot 7.5 inches like Callan Foote is but he's got a better chance of being a top 2 then we have of winning our division.....

You will hate Juolevi then. - VANTEL
No I like Juolevi. He will be a top pairing for years to come. Theven addition of Gudbrandson and the emergence of Tryamkin on the back end solidifies the grit on back end, we need players up front on top lines to be able to supply some of that as well.
Our top forwards have been/are very soft. |

I agree but you can't put edge over talent when you don't have much to begin with. Glaring hole at center when it comes to talent. |

I'm sure that you'll agree, but we need a mix of players, for every Gudbranson and tree we need a Juolevi or Subban

Yup he's turning out to be a Godsend from Gillis. Pretty thin beyond him though. |

Yup anyone of those would be a nice addition for sure. Unlike several on here I also like Rasmussen and his teammates Valimaki and Geekie (3rd rd) |

Is he McDavid? C'mon one player doesn't take teams to promised land.
Just say he is junk or whatever instead of saying 1 player not named MacKinnon is the reason for all the teams woes.
Av's r horrible. PERIOD - Nighthawk
And so are the Canucks, Duchesne needs to go to a much better team to show his skills, why waste a 1st round on him, he'll be -39 on this team just like the AV's. |

I have a feeling Juolevi will be paired with Tanev next year. I can't see him going back to JR. - VANTEL
Would be a good mentor fit. So you came around to that now. But he will have to be spotted there in and out of the line up. Unless Nucks lose two LD this summer. |

So are the Canucks...AV's have better forwards ...how does Duchene help us? I'd rather keep a top pairing d man then acquire another non difference making forward...no thanks on Duchene for Tanev. Hutton.....maybe now we have something |

Be careful what you wish for. Duchene this year has the same numbers as Sutter.
Granlund and Landeskog have comparable numbers and Bo and McKinnon have similar numbers . |

There are several other variables then one seasons numbers, to take into account. Duchene is a great player, but I don't think he will be on the Canucks. |

Is Boeser known at all for his 2 way game? Just thinking you may want to shelter him a bit next year and not have him line up against some of the top lines in the game.
I know Bear worked on it a lot while he was in Calgary and it made him a more complete player.

Yeah Sbisa could be Vegas bound. But then why would JB risk moving another D with so little depth? Especially a young one like Hutton. Who would you think it is worth moving him for? |

Because if you can get a top 6 forward for Hutton you may want to take it. Especially when Juolevi is better than Hutton |

For anyone to be a top 2C with the Canucks in 2019 they only have to beat out Sutter and or Granlund. Not really in the impossible category. |

Yes BB has a two way game and hits. He's better and more poised/mature then when Sven came into the Flame dudgeon. Next...? |
