Yeah, Hedman was pretty crappy until age 23-24, he only started to put things together at that point. His stellar play has only come about in the past few seasons age 24-26. So, I still have to back Risto here. He's shown nothing but growth and I don't see why that does not continue. For once I'll back our guy against the leagues best.

Hedman came on at 21 years old as an excellent player, he just didn't have the points.

He's been better defensively than Risto his entire career almost.

Hedman was and is a way better defender since coming into this league.

Risto has had the more well rounded offensive side since he came into this league.

If Risto can make the jump defensively next year then your opinion becomes more of a true statement. Year 5 is when Hedman made the jump offensively that Risto needs to make defensively.

I can ask my friend if he did, since he's the official season ticket holder. We're not renewing for next year though. The change in how they do the schedule plus the fact that the cost has become more than we're really willing to spend at this point has put us over the edge.

I would just tell everyone to hold their horses in judgement of Risto. Most D-Men don't mature until 24 and up. Risto is 22 I believe. Be Patient!

I watched 50 or so bolt games during his first 4 years

he was much better than risto during his first 4 years
