I love it because if you were to ask me which coach and player would have an "argument" or rift over this sorta thing bylsma and reinhart might be my last two picks.
(frank) beyond blue and gold gimme all the sabres drama - Sabresfan-365
Agreed. I figured Reinhart was a golden boy. Man, this season has sucked. My expectations for the team were (probably fool hardy) higher. Effin Toronto being good is icing on the cake. |

ugh and now my bubble is burst... when was it announced that okposo was ill? it might just be that they had to dress X number of skaters so Reinhart got in but wasnt "in"

Read the same thing on Twitter that due to his illness, he had to at least dress.
Bylsma not getting any love on Twitter for this move even though none of us here are against it per say. |

they suspended kane. They didnt dress him and then tell him to sit at the end of a bench for 60 mins. you do that with humiliation in mind. - Sabresfan-365

agred if that was the case . . Coach is the boss. and rules need to be followed - cabin
Nothing personal, but I hate this hierarchical mentality. This isn't (frank)ing Medieval Europe or the Egyptian Dynasty, for Christ's sake.
This country is a democracy.
But all jobs are a dictatorship, right. Ridiculous. A job isn't a privilege, and while playing in the NHL is, from McDonald's to Ford to Monsanto to professional sports, as an employee, you're treated like a slave and as if you don't have a right to a job or to explain yourself when issues arise at the job. It's all because of power-tripping.
What a joke. |

If Reinhart violated a rule fine sit him, but don't sit him dressed on the bench. |

An employee is a reflection of his or her management. Plain and simple. They hire and employ them and an employee will act in their management's image. If all of your employees are disgruntled, that's a management issue, not an employee issue.
Thank god that professional sports players have a union. |

I agree. I'm not saying don't discipline ornery employees, I'm saying don't haze them and humiliate them in front of their peers. |

I feel awful for Sam. How embarrassing it must be to sit on a bench as an NHL player, for breaking a team rule.
I bet he doesn't leave his house for a month. |

How can anybody be mad at this decision?
No player is bigger than the team
Hell the Calgary Flames benched Sean Monahan and Johnny gaudreau the same night when they are in a playoff race two years ago |

Still like 6 more games of this poop show, shame on me for thinking it would be a silent death to the season. What a joke.
If Pegula didn't want Disco gone before, I'm wondering if this is the pint that kills the Irish Man's liver. The Irish man being that drunkard Tim Murray who can't seem to stay away from Bada Bing. Or wherever it is. |

Did you even read the comments above? We're not mad for disciplining a player so much as the way he was disciplined. You don't humiliate someone like that. There are much better options.
Sit him in the presser for a game or two, dress and play him and with 6 games left, tell him if he doesn't score he sits out the rest of the year (this is called lighting a fire under his ass). Make him do bag skates until he pukes. Make him do team laundry for the day. Dozens of alternatives but no, he chooses the most humiliating punishment possible. Disco Dan is a straight jamoke.

Maybe, just maybe this wasn't the first instance, and Sam Reinhart needed it.

100% agree. A boss humiliating his employee in front of his other employees is not acceptable in any workplace environment. Through in a stadium with 15,000 people and tv audiences in Columbus and Buffalo, this is just wrong. If Sam broke a team rule, you tell him to take off his skates and watch from the press box. End of story. This move by Disco is his worst mistake yet. It might get him fired in a week or two.
