To call Zaitsev a #5 is pretty insulting. He leads Toronto in ice-time, for large parts of the season he's been the Leafs top defenseman. When Marchand was here it was Zaitsev all over him, same with Ovechkin.

The -20 is ugly but its likely just as reflective of the lack of depth as essentially all season it's only been 5 defensemen who have Babcocks trust. The workhorse D on a playoff team lacking D depth.
