Agreed buffalo is not a place for NBA it would fail miserably - GERBE!!!75PTS
Actually it was working pretty well, the reason they (Clippers) moved was because they all shared the same building (the Aud).
The problem for the Braves was they were 3rd in line of the picking order for game nights. The Sabres had first dibs followed by the NCAA BB teams that played out of the Aud and then the Braves.
If the NBA would have stayed it would have cost the city the Sabres.
Now with the arena there now, they could in theory make it work since NCAA BB teams in the area have their own areas on campus.

back then it didn't cost an arm and a leg for the gameday experience
hell I had part season tickets for the blue jays in early 90's
cost was about $4 a ticket and I had a friend who sold most of my tickets as I went to about 10 games a year
I bought them for the playoff tickets
and my season tickets for the bills in the early 90's was what $15 a seat, and I was 6th row between uprights
there is no way buffalo can support 40 sabre games and 40 nba games a year

Orlando Magic sell out almost every game and they are god awful...
Tickets are affordable and the team makes money thanks to the TV deal for the league.

Buffalo could work - Stripes77
Key word is "Orlando " and the goal is for them not to suck that's why I said it won't work here you will have 15 years of misery this is not going to be your destination if you're a basketball player
Only way you're going to get good talent winning the draft lottery and that's impossible in the NBA

but orlando doesn't have mlb, nfl or nhl hockey
and they get a lot more tourism than buffalo
your move - homiedclown
Tourism does not equal going to sporting events.
Tourists don't come to Orlando to go to a basketball game.
Buffalo has a huge basketball contingent that don't like hockey.
A basketball team would only compete with the NFL until you know late November when the Bills are out of the playoff picture. In fact most of the basketball schedule is worked around NFL games anyway.
Let Bailey, Moulson, Baptiste, Fast, Hudler, Nestrasil, Ennis, Carrier, Girgensons, and Rodrigues battle it out on offense and Falk, Fedun, Murphy, McIlrath on D
