I thought you had to have 3 accrued years. Accrued years you can only get from playing NHL games. That's why I asked on the exact wording. I've seen the stuff that websites put out, but nothing from the NHL that's CBA like.

If that happened after he signed his extension, it would make Pegula look like a total fool. And if Murray was fired, Bylsma won't be too far behind. If that all did happen, re-build start over 2.0.

I just dont think they'll do it because if they were firing him based on performance and/or expectations it would have happened sometime during the season. There would have to be something else wrong

Not sure how all that works with GM's. You could be right that the original deal expires at this end of the season and the new contract starts for next season.

Regarding Clown's insider info that Murray might be walking the plank in two weeks, that is intriguing. If true, then i really have to question Pegula's acumen as a businessman. You don't keep on giving extensions and hiring guys to long term contracts only to fire them in year 1 or year 2. Even if you have more $$ than God, you still don't run a business that way.

Who knows if Murray will get fired but his track record on trades and how the Reinhart incident was handled does call into question his future here. You are spot on regarding Pegula and I will say that I have never ever been a fan of one guy owning both sports teams. It's a recipe for disaster imo and I think he'll exercise his time more with the Bills than the Sabres.
