Very good point. I think T-Pegs must be embarrassed by the fact that neither of his teams have been in the playoffs since he bought them. Next year is playoffs or bust for the Sabres. We don't have the time to fumble out of the gate at the beginning of next season. Waiting until Thanksgiving will basically mean throwing in the towel on another season. Fire Disco in two weeks, find a progressive coach who can coach these youngsters and teach the new system to everyone in September/October.

Firing Disco might also positively impact Kane's decision to stay on with Buffalo. I am sure he isn't thrilled with the amount of 3rd line time he has had under Disco. Plus Jack and Rhino will probably have an open kegger party to celebrate.

sabres actually made the playoffs in 2011 when he bought the team...then came the drunken sailor free spending off season and...the rest...

amerks made the playoffs three times in a row, were ousted in the first round each time

I'm all on board for David Quinn as well. He was a HC for Lake Erie in the AHL and an asst with Colorado. I like Gallant, Scott Gordon and if LA fires Darryl Sutter, he would be a good choice too.

my guess is he is taking the company line

I doubt a captain would question the coaches system publicly

right now the sabres are 14th in the east out of 16 team

could end up 15th
