@ 365
Saw this on another board:
8. That team’s blue line could really be poached. Another defender, 24-year-old Viktor Antipin (also a lefty), is expected to join Buffalo. If that is the case, the Sabres won a bit of a recruiting battle, with Calgary, Chicago, Columbus and Pittsburgh all poking around.
Until the ink dries I'm not counting it, but know we discussed this earlier this week. |

Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) Had to google it . Just stick with the quaker oats brand .

Quinoa is amazing. It's very aromatic, nutty and can be used in place of couscous or rice. It's beyond healthy for you as well. It's one hipster thing I can get on board with. |

So was Gionta (and others) lying when they said the "system" wasn't the problem
(and all systems are very similar anyways)
Or is all this talk about Bylsma's system extremely overrated? - jdfitz77
I think this whole idea that most systems are basically the same is a gigantic crock of asspoop |

Good Blog Michael. I'm still very intrigued by the sabres rebuild. I keep looking at the Sabres roster and am trying to figure how GMTM is gonna reshape this roster into a winner. Less injuries will help, as will the natural progression of the young guys...but it just isnt nearly enough.
The dead weight just doesnt have enough trade value. What in your opinion, is the right course of action?
I'm of the opinion that they keep doing what theyre doing for another couple seasons. No more costly 'win now' trades, just keep developing. There wont be any playoffs for a at least one more full season, but its the right course of action. Hate to say it, but Toronto is doing this poop the right way. |

"Systems" are just welfare for crappy players. They force the guys with talent to suppress their creativity so lesser players can keep up. |

Not sure how all that works with GM's. You could be right that the original deal expires at this end of the season and the new contract starts for next season. - mhp
Unless there's an out in his extension that he's not owed anything if he's fired before it kicks in, but who would sign that? Oh wait... |

I can't believe it's lack of talent
bogo, kulikov, franson and gorges are not that bad
they are not good, but not brutal on paper - homiedclown
Yes. They are that bad. The 2 best might be bottom pairing guys on a good team. Might. You have all four. That's barf. |

Good post bud . But I think it will be a vastly improved year next year as long as the injury bug stays at bay. |

he is not happy with the rochester results either
from what I have been told, and things it's just as much the system from disco sucks as the players
if not more the system - homiedclown
2 teams, one system. Both teams are not good. Not a coincidence. There's more than enough talent on both teams to be better than they are. |

Systems by the coach are just dreams and opinions of how the game is played under their thumb. results are in the finished standings. |

Actually quinoa is pretty good with rice. Wegmans has seasoned brown rice and quinoa. It's delicious. But then anything with garlic is delicious, so make of that what you will. |

I think ' slightly improved ' is more realistic. That is a top pair D and a 2ns pair D away from being a playoff defence corps. No chance you get both. |

I don't think he watches too much Sabres hockey, just comments. Either way, the injuries alone prevented playoffs. I actually think we would have made it if healthy all year, but that's a horse of a different pasture. We'll be better next year for sure. |

What's your point, they only had so much money and with changing the system on D once again it will take the right players and time. Get rid of whatever players do not fit into the 4-3 and get players in here that will.
Gilmore wasn't even talked about to resign "at the price", that's what they think of him. - SABRES 89
FIFY
Gilmore is a very good player, but they can't afford to pay him what he signed for. They knew that before last season. They tried to get him at a lower number, but he knew he was in line for a massive payday, so not being an idiot, he told the Bills to take a flying (frank) at a rolling doughnut and show him the money or he was gone, they didn't, he's in NE. It's one of the more straightforward things that's played out here over the past 2 years. |

it's not.
It's just brown rice, quinoa, corn starch, canola oil, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, soy, black pepper and parsley. |
