3 of the 6 dmen who dressed tonight have no business being on the roster next season. I could even argue 4. They're blueline just wasn't good enough this year. |

It definitely is but I don't think Hexy does it.
That a full blown rebuild move and I don't think he's totally lost hope in these guys. I think Schenn will be the one moved. And if next season starts going bad then you look to move Simmonds. - hereticpride
Schenn is on the rise big time so likely he will be the guy traded, just like trading Bobrovski and signing Bryz I would trade Giroux before Schenn or Simmonds.

Plenty of blame to go around on the season, but 57 points from Google and 59 from Jake aren't good enough. 1 if not both need to be up around 70. Especially playing in the Metropolitan. |

If Manning is on the team next year I'm going to be pissed. They've got three rookies knocking on the door and they all deserve a shot before Manning continues to be a guy that the coach has to make excuse after excuse for. |

Yup..And Neuvy cant be a part of that .. - opeth_pa
I like neuvy. I just think mase is a better tender who doesn't have the injury problems. Mase has been solid with an average d corps for a while. With a solid one, I think he could excel. I think it may be an issue if we don't have a solid experienced tender. |

Hagg and Morin have now played 2 full seasons in the AHL. I get Hexy's philosophy to be patient. There shouldn't be an excuse of rushing these guys in particular. Not to mention Sanheim has been effective and Myers was very good this year. I just hope the organization Manning is a #7 dman on a playoff team. It's time for the plan to go forward, Brandon Manning is an average dman, let's see what some seasoned prospects can do in his place. |

You can basically put 80% of the season on G. 10% on ghost's struggles and another 10% on the goalies. Jake was good enough for most of the season and especially when G and ghost were at their worst. But he looked cooked at the end of the year. |

Schenn isn't going to get much better than he already is. Bob was pedestrian when he left before turning into a stud. If you think Schenn goes to another team and suddenly turns into an 75-80 point player then that's just nuts.
Schenn doesn't offer enough at 5 on 5 for me. That's what it comes down to. This core needs a change. It's been 5 years and 3 coaches now with the same results. |

Agreed. Manning's ceiling is a 7 and it's time to see what a new young d corps can do. Next year will be painful but got to start Turning the corner here. No more mac Shultz manning getting lots of time. |

I'm asking the question, not trying to be a troll. Who on the blueline would have been considered as part of the core the last 5 years? My basic point is the top pairing last year was Schultz and Streit. I'm certainly in favor of exploring all trade possibilities to the forwards. I couldn't tell you what a good return for Schenn or Simmonds honestly. For me, the holes on the blue line has been a major problem, exemplified that our #1 dman just turned 20.

Playing third line with a couple cull have not helped Schenn at even strength but the kid competes every night and has turned into a pp sniper. Trading Schenn or Simmonds would be a mistake as they have a pulse. 93 and 28 would get more maybe in a trade and I like 10 and 17 better. More importantly keep them all but overhaul that defense and a guy like Mason will return from the living dead.
