Whut Happuned: Gudas caught Quenneville with an open ice hit that looked like a penalty to me, no penalty was called. Quenneville went off the ice slowly.. and his replacement (Prout) came on and made a beeline for Gudas who had his head down and was headed off the ice, hit him high and dropped him. 5 minute major, game misconduct, and another 5 for fighting Simmonds who rushed to Gudas' defense.

Weise in apparent (?) retaliation drilled Palmieri back into the stanchion along the boards. The puck had long gone and Palmieri wasnt a fair target. 5 minute major, game misconduct. I really didnt like the hit. It was dangerous. It wasnt as vicious as the incident where Chara clearly tried to kill Max Pacioretty by sending him face first into the stanchion a few years back, but I thought it was reckless.
