That was my reaction when O'Reilly was tackled near the end of the game.

Observations from the game:

1) overall the team look disinterested
2) the new guy Smith looked good out there.
3) Kane, ROR, Smith were noticeable
4) overall they played better without Risto in the line-up
5) Jack and Rhino were non factors

Top 6 pick here we come.

He's not even going to average 45 points per season over his two years here. He's had 3 months of a great run over two years here.

Except he scores 5v5 goals, something this team really, really needs(understatement of the century). I don't care if he has zero assists. If he scores 25+ goals and 20+ at 5v5 at $6M, I'm fine with that. Who else is going to?

I didn't see the game, but I heard him on the post game, and I heard what Hamilton and that 14 year old(sounds like one anyway) Kozio? Kozial? who runs the post game say that it wasn't his best game, but that he wasn't the reason they lost. Hamilton takes any chance he gets to rip Lehner, and he did on the first goal, and the one where Lehner said he was screened, but it's ok Hamilton totally saw a replay so he knows better, and even after that he said it wasn't his fault they lost. It was 5v5 play. And during the first intermission he said he'd give Lehner a 2 year deal, that's he's deserved a longer look.

It's funny, I'm usually the one accused of cherry picking a single stat to make a point.

He's a good player, he's also no where near deserving of a rumored long term 6+ million contract. No way.
