Within the next couple years, Matthews is going to be the most dominate puck possession player in the NHL, you can already see it - he is almost impossible to take the puck off one on one right now. Wait till he fills out, increases his strength and gets some more experience.

I'm not certain that Matthews is a better player than Eichel.

That said, I think he's more mature than Jack and will probably be a better teammate and leader than Eichel. He clearly has a better attitude.

Possibly, but Matthews' body is also very close to fully developed. He'll get stronger, but not that much stronger. Guys like Eichel, McDavid, Marner, etc. are going to grow. Even two years ago, they said Matthews looked liked he was in his 20s.
