I was reading a thread from a VAN radio host/producer who said Hutton is likely the guy from VAN to go. They want to keep Tanev/Edler for now.

They want one of our guys.....

What do you know about this Ben Hutton guy?

on a good team he's probably an okay 2nd pair guy, theyve dropped him to the third pair this year though so its sorta buyer beware.

Problem for me is its not like hes offensively gifted or a defensive juggernaut. Assuming a scenario where antipin signs and doesnt suck, that role is basically filled.

You'd wind up overpaying for something you already have.

I havent looked but id hazard a guess that the numbers go down when the ice time goes up. Would explain why hes played 22 mins in only 40% of the games and why hes on the third pair now.
