This the following an easy, quick summation of the Sabres problem?

They have an overabundance of supporting, complimentary players, a few of which make too much money for being that kind of player, and due to the lack of high end players that drive play, some of the supporting/complimentary players are asked to play above their heads in roles greater then they are able to support.

They need to get 2-3 more driver type players as they have plenty of passengers.

Overall summary: don't overpay any player that is not a driver, as overpaying passengers always leads to trouble, both in terms of cap hit and trades.

If you identify a player or players as drivers but they are really passengers, it can kill your team, and end your job faster than you think.

Reading that, it sounds like a summary of GMTM so far.

One can dream.

Btw, Notre Dame plays Denver tomorrow. If they lose, I wonder if GMTM tries to sign Cal immediately with the stipulation he plays in one of the Florida games this weekend and burns a year of his entry level contract?? If Notre Dame wins, they play Saturday for the championship. I hope GMTM's relationship with Cal is as good as he professes.

How do we know that? Honest question.

I tend to fall on the side of they believed, emphasis on past tense, at one point, but no longer.

If they still believe, GMTM should be fired.
