Only if I can sit with Bloated, he's my people! - LeftCoaster
It would just be weird having two grown men sitting beside each other and crying about Benning. I think you should sit with Nuck4U or OnesmallLeap |

For one I doubt Oshie would've signed here, two, he's playing with Backstrom and Ovechkin, two of the best in the game, and three....I doubt he scores 20 in Vancouver. - LeftCoaster
I was talking about two years ago when Oshie was a UFA and we decided to keep our aging high paid vets .
Back then Oshie would have accepted 4 to play here and Montreal would have probably had interest in Burrows.
We are talking about hanging oon too long to players |

Who would help Horvat more Burrows or Oshie? - VANTEL
That's unrelated to what I was talking about but I think the answer to that is pretty obvious
I doubt Oshie would ever come to Vancouver, he has it pretty good right about now. |

Worked out with Vrbata his first year here. There is a time and a place for it however. No need to look at UFA's at all until the Sedins and Edler are gone. - LordHumungous
Vrbata has put up 10 less points this year than his first year in VAN. Main difference is he cost 4 million dollars less this year than he did that year. |

Only after the sedins, thats when we go after High end UFA's. - SRam19
The UFA market has suffered since the cap era got rooted.
Not much to pick over very often anymore. |

Nuck4U can't afford to make the flight from NYC, if he can, I'm out |

Dwight King & Brian Boyle would be a couple nice free agent additions at a reasonable price. |

I would still sign TJ Oshie in the offseason for 4.5-5 mill for 2 years. - Codes1087
Do you think he would though. ? |

He wasn't a UFA two years ago, he was traded by the Blues to the Capitals. He was a UFA last year...there's not a chance in hell he would've signed here.
*** Check that....he's never been a UFA, he's still on the deal he signed with St. Louis. Which ends this year.
I guess that (frank)s your whole Oshie argument, sorry

Yes & on another no PO team. They get a worse pick & he will get a raise in a year. - Nighthawk
It could be argued he prevented them from getting a better pick, though they really shouldve made the playoffs this year if they didnt have so many injuries to key players. They should be strong next season, but if not he will be a very flippable asset at the TDL |

2018 is a better UFA if we go that route.
I'd rather lump it & play who we have. |

Pfft doesnt matter if he wants to or not. We just say we want him, offer years and money on the contract and since he wants to be an NHLer (and the Canucks are technically an NHL team) he'll say yes.
Thats how free agency works. Are you new to the NHL? |

Of course he wouldn't, the Canucks, at this point, get scraps when it comes to UFA's. |

Injuries r not an excuse with FLA.
Rowe idk if he makes sense.
Firing Gallant was strange.
The D is poor & Yandle is overpaid huge.
Overall it was a mess. |

the female doging over the Sedins is just hilarious.
This is a bad team, the twins are being exposed for their age because up until recently they have been the target of the oppositions best players. Horvat has gone now 14 games without a goal, why? Because teams have shifted their attention to him. There is very little depth on this team that good teams have to worry about.
If Daniel was shooting his career average 11%, he would be sitting on 23 goals, best on the team. He hasnt had a shooting % this bad since the seasons following the Keith elbow.
Yes the Sedins are in the decline, but this is overly dramatic that we should buy out one, trade one, expose to Vegas, or whatever. The team has literally zero depth to force any major shakeups. Megna was playing top 6 for lack of any better options, not because anyone thinks he is good (thus his $675k payday), thats the kind of poopty depth the team has been dealing with - WhiteLie

ultimately those scraps will lead us to a #1 overall hopefully. |

I agree with Don that if this takes 10 years then heads need to roll.
I think some moves Canucks should look at this summer are affordable and hopefully practical.
I think Tanev is a definite move . Don't let that NTC kick in . He could have the highest return.
Gudbrandson Yes I know I was the one that hoped he was a Canuck. I didn't know Tryamkin was going to be that type of player so quickly. I still do like EG and would be okay if he sticks around , but I also agree you can buy that type of game for much cheaper. Engelland comes to mind or Gryba .You should also get a very good return for EG.
Moving those two pieces can get you top 6 forwards .
I would go after Tyutin to replace Sbisa and he can be had at around 2-2.5
Edler Stecher
Tyutin Tryamkin
Hutton Engelland
