ALL you inveterate gamblers... I am planning a vegas vacation for myself for my 40th bday in July. ITs also my first time in vegas.
WHat sites do you book with, or do you book it direct with hotel? How far in advance should I book?
I'm looking at NyNy or signature at the mgm grand but I would love a deal on a place like the bellagio or wynn/encore. a
I think Homie mentioned the rio as possibility but I was wondering about the distance off of the stripbeing too great.
CURrently, NYny is $1400 Canadian for 2, flying direct from Toronto, from July 16 to 21. - Da_Cashman
Rio is only a 5-10 minute walk off the stripe. NyNy is nice, the shopping area is cool, it's set up like the different parts of NYC. Bellagio is beautiful, but forget it for the price. MGM, I think is overrated.
As for booking, early is always better. Check the basic sites for deals, and of course the hotel's website itself.
But, whatever hotel you pick, stay on the south end of the strip (Mandalya bay, MGM) up to the 2/3 part of the LVB (Treasure Island, Bally's, Vanitian) The north end has real good hotel deals, but you'll be walking or taking cabs to the better parts of the stripe.
I know people here aren't typically fans of "advanced stats"... but I thought this graph was interesting. It comes from a link from Ryan Wilson's article a few days ago about Merging the Eye test and Analytics

I truly believe that if this team was better, more people would like advanced stats (Sabres fans here mostly)
Does this mean Eichel is the best of the three? - Sabres1523
I don't think this shows anything we didn't already know with the "eye test". I'm not anti stats in the slightest. I'm anti drawing conclusions from incomplete/insufficient information though.
AT THE EXPANSION DRAFT DO I REALLY HAVE TO S P E L L I T O U T F O R Y O U - Acup2buff
I don't know if you know this or not, but there is no "draft" Vegas just goes over the lists the teams submit and then submit their list to the NHL and then the NHL releases the list a couple days later.
I think it's stupid. They are missing out on a huge event. But that's how it's being done.
Pretty sad if you ask me, i'm tired of seeing this crap. - SABRES 89
As long as their willing to pay 5x+ times face value for a ticket the ticket holders will keep selling them. You could make your money back and then some just on the MTL and TOR games.
