None of the players mentioned above are playing the same minutes, or on the top line like the Sedins. - Codes1087
Neither are the twins. Bo is playing more minutes and had been since before they were eliminated.
Thee problem is the team doesn't have a first line..... like Henrik asked for years ago.....
Twins are still top 3 players oon this team
The fact they aren't top 6 players is three problem. |

Never said it was, it's also not against the CoC to have repetitive nauseating posts about the Sedins and Willie.
As has been pointed out, people are expressing opinions, and so am I. - Makita

I was curious, so I filtered NHL stats to show the points per 60 minutes for players listed as C and played a minimum 40 games this year.
The result for Canucks out of the 173 eligible players:
Horvat (48th)
Sedin (73rd)
Granlund (90th)
Sutter (119th)
Megna (162nd)
Chaput (163rd)
Gaunce (169th)
Without depth in the center position, your team is (frank)ed. Its no surprise where Vancouver is in the standings
EDIT: Henrik has a higher goals per 60 minute than Getzlaf, Johansen, Giroux and Kopitar |

You are now going to get responses that you're wrong or yes they are or whatever,
so i'll start,
Jagr
RNH
E kane
Little
Staal
Fillipula the sane number of points as hossA and lucic amd okposa
Dank had the same amount of points as
Duchene
Stasny
Neil
More points than
Spooner
Nash
Backes
Grabner
Those players you listed above are the problems with their teams, just like the Sedins are the problem with the Canucks, if it wasn't for the Sedins and Willie sh!t man, this team is president cup caliber... - Makita
Totally agree
If they twins had retired lat year we could have signed..........uhm.... fill in the blanks...... as free agents and we'd totally be back to our president cup winking ways..
But flagged still for being a realist.....
Plus it is the twins who are trying to get jb a higher draft pick...... so all you tankers and draftists should be kissing their asterisks......
Also... while it would be nice to get better odds... I'll be really upset if Arizona ends up better than us........ because of Tanner...... i tried to get him to bet that we'd be better |

That part was just surprising because Henrik is not a goal scorer and should not be outproducing many top line players. Those guys are obviously having some down seasons |

How are next seasons lines going to look? - VanHockeyGuy
Depends on what comes down from JB.
WD here or gone or here for how long?
If here & if he gets fired then thats a real drag on next season after wasting a training camp. |

Good digging WL.
I'd go so far as to say that those players are being bigger busts then hank this year...... |

I'm no fan of retreads generally speaking.
Gallant maybe but tbh i don't a lot about him.
So I'd go with Green since he knows our prospects & in Utica he has done well with all the upheaval injuries have created the last 2 seasons. |

Finally, about time those pom poms were put on the shelf...
I can remember a few of us posting back in Sept - Oct that the team was talent deficient and there were 3 lines of 3rd line talent and a bunch of 4th liners and AHL players. Man I can remember getting roasted, especially from Nuck4U, we were always one lucky bounce from league greatness. |

There are many intangibles on the Sedins and their impact now.
Could they have a decent year next year with the right linemate?
Is 7 mil per a good option for 45 point players in Hank and Dank?
Leadership has come into question this year as we still have a captain that won't stand up physically for his teammates.
Defensively the Sedins have become a disaster...is this for real or have they just mailed the season in?
Sedins and their minion Edler won't pass to Boeser on the PP. To me this is big... a snub of a new star player?
Country Club still exists and the Sedins are the driving force...is this a good legacy to be leaving behind for Bo and Boeser?
Let's just say I'm having trouble finding the positives in the Sedins still being here...with too many negatives to count or list here. |

Joe Thornton plays as soft as hank..... he had one more point than hank.
Is he holding the sharks back? Or is there enough depth to overcome the loss in points?

One of the best passers in the game currently.
Hank - only passes to his brother, or occasionally Edler. |

Krueger is reportedly very happy being president of an English Premiere team.
This has been brought up every single time his name is mentioned. |

I dont really agree with your points because outside of Bo, I havent seen anyone on the Canucks roster that could consistently handle the minutes that the twins play. Sutter isnt even that great of a player but looks good compared to the junk the rest of the team has. To me thats their benefit at the moment. Ideally they take 2nd line/2nd PP minutes until someone can show consistency to push them further down, but we are a few years away IMO.
Defensively, the Sedins are worse. They are among the oldest players in the league, they need support and unfortunately there isnt much. They looked better with Hansen/Granlund and worse with Chaput/Megna/Erikkson
The passing on the PP is over blown, the PP always runs up and down the right side (positioned by Edler/Stecher and the twins) and the net front and backside players try to finish. It happened with Erikkson, Sutter, Sven; this isnt new with Boeser
And the last part about CC, I agree it still exists but I think its changing. I have seen the twins throwing jabs and be in more scrums this year than the previous 10 seasons combined. And in the video clips the team churns out, Bo has emerged as the leader. He started last year trying to influence JV/McCann and will be the one the next generation looks to, I am not worried about any negative effects the twins will leave behind as they are less influential to players 10+ years younger them |

The 'Country club' mentality comes from the Sedins who come into training camp every year in better shape than anyone and who both held one of the longest iron man records of any top line players ever despite getting the poop kicked out of them year after year?
