You take everything on this site way to seriously, for the last (frank)ing time this is a rumour site not a hockey site, that is why we discuss everything under the sun, our conversations run the gamut, if you want to discuss hockey may I suggest a hockey site. Making a joke is not trolling maybe it is on a hockey site, but you're not on a hockey site. - A_SteamingLombardi
Rumor has it you know where the party treats are for this shinding. Load me up boss. As you know, being a Nucks fan for life has its rewards. |

@Nuck4U
When i coached competitive ball we had 15 individuals on the team.
I stated the teams goals & rules to everyone as a unit in our preseason practices/games. From there i coached & had expectations of each individual according to their individual talents & how it helps the team. Nobody was special but everyone was important in their own way. It was of tantamount importance to be clear to the team that i was on everyones side & have the faith in me to do what was needed for the teams success. I was not always right but i was more often than not. I don't take the credit but i gave it to the players who allowed me to succeed or fail in my role as a coach. The players played & the coaches coached. Harmony & pulling together was the path to winning & win we did & got better along the way each & every season all because of buying all in.
A long diatribe i know but that is what the Canucks can work on & the winning or losing is of no importance. It is however about how they win or lose. |

THats very true & each player has their own game aspects to work on.
They do it and things fall into place if not they go where they will learn to do it.
I for one believe earning it has nothing to do with deserving it totally different words that earning it then leads to deserving it is to follow not deserving it then eaning it to learn in the pros. Semantics to some ppl but not to me. - Nighthawk

Yes I get that. I had to change approaches when money was on the line. That's why pros have more to lose and a lot to gain when facing these situations.

How well did that work out for us? Obviously it was a total poop show for years...how many coaching changes were made? at least one per season right?....if a team is poop then it doesnt matter how many new coaches you put in the team is still poop...but if you got rid of some of the crap on a team and replaced them with better players then perhaps that might bring on a positive change...coaches dont put on the equipment and skate on the ice that is the players job but again a team could have the greatest coach in history but if the team itself is poop then there is no hiding it...get better players first then put the right coach in place who knows how to coach the talent - RatedR80
And in my opinion is the issue with the Canucks. it's the talent that's lacking and with a few top round picks, life will be better and a new coach will be chosen...it's unbelievable in here at times. |

Tiger Williams called out Linden as a huge reason for the Canucks failure as a franchise. Said "he has no idea what he is doing, no experience". Applaudes Willy D, calling him a winner for getting results while have a sh*tty roster. Says FA and Linden both have no idea what they are doing lol - Codes1087
It's FA much more so than Linden IMO. |

I agree & a new coach is needed when we r ready for one. Right now idk one way or the other if that is needed. So for now stay the course & monitor WD til either a better option is out there or forced into a coaching change.
I'd say WD is on a 20 game segment by segment microscope. |

To change the coach several times during a rebuild would definitely make us the Oilers... MacT, Quinn, Renney, Kreuger, Eakins, Nelson, McLellan (7 year window). It would also make us the Leafs... Maurice, Wilson, Carlyle, Horachek, Babcock (9 year window)
PS those are some pretty decent coaches included in those lists, that many have mentioned they would like to have here in Vancouver, didnt help there... ride out WD until the roster is is strong enough like the Leafs and Oilers did bringing in Babs and McLellan - WhiteLie
I agree. It's not all slick Willie. Especially since TORTS proved he can actually coach. I used to think Willie was a big problem, but I think the Sedins suck a lot of air out of the team now. They need to be used way less. Especially on the power play. |
