Yes, followed by a sit daniel until hank waives post...... followed by a fire Willie, he's the big problem post.
People need to just let the clock run down on this season and pray for a lotto ball.... |

I thought we agreed you were always wrong? |

That would be a nice fit. I highly doubt Edler waives but if he does it's probably for Florida or Tampa. I suspect many posters haven't visited Buffalo. I went to a Sabres game a few years ago and I still have nightmares. It is the worst place I have ever been and I have been to Atlanta - CanuckDon
Yeah, in 1979 we were driving through Buffalo and I was yelled at to roll up my window and lock the door. No one waives to go there. I find it funny that Josh Gorges chose Buffalo over Toronto, he must really hate TO. |

I think Florida, Detroit and Ottawa are examples of places EDler would consider. Maybe even Toronto? Seems like aa good fit - neem55
he has flat out said "I WILL NEVER WAIVE!!" several times
hopefully posters finally absorb this |

Megna/Chaput/Gaunce are all scrubs and will most likely continue to be scrubs, zero offense. Gaunce I guess is at least a big body and can be effective when he's physical, but that's about it. - Nucker101
Gaunce can be physical Like Sandlak physical? |

A poor man's Necas
Kidding(feel like I have to add this since some sarcasm detectors are broken here) - Nucker101
I know when you are being sarcastic Necas is intriguing but he is a wildcard. It's very difficult to find footage of him. Part of me wants us to draft somebody like Makar and just go for a risky prospect with a very high ceiling. This draft has me so confused |

except that willie IS the problem. Once we've hired a new coaching staff and are halfway through the next season people will finally see that thankfully. |

Just threaten to expose him, he'll decide if there are better places than Las Vegas. |

This is news to me. I watch A LOT of trade speculation, interviews etc. and never heard or read Edler say that. SO: prove it.
I know he has said he would prefer to stay, not quite the same thing. |

Necas and Markar are probably my two personal favs in this draft, wouldn't have the balls to rank them top 2 right now over Nico/Nolan but I wouldn't be surprised at all if one of those 2 guys ended up being the best player in this draft. |

I really don't see Edler waiving for Toronto. Not exactly a guy who loves attention. |

At this point in our rebuild I would hope JB thinks the retain salary and or take back junk salaries to get picks/prospects. This team spending anywhere close to the cap is a joke. |

I was at the sabres game with 6 buddies from TO. After the game I went home with some questionable young lady (mainly because I was cold). In the morning she dropped me off at the hotel and 4 of the 6 guys had black eyes buffalo is a rough and depressing City. |

Who has said that? I think some people are just reluctant to claim that these guys are future core players without seeing how they continue to develop. Which makes sense considering what's happened to future "core" players here in the past...Hodgson, Kassian, Corrado meanwhile a guy who never got much hype in Chris Tanev turned out to be a core player. It makes sense to want more draft picks/prospects brought in to compete with these guys since not all of them will play up to their potential, that's just the reality of sports.
As of now, all of them are simply role players outside of Horvat which is perfectly fine. - Nucker101
Its not about if they are core but if they are even NHL caliber and worth developing. That is what has been questioned by others.
As for your core past and present take. Well yeah we don't know who will be that as it's early. Core is what 3/4 players in key positions that lead the team. So on the youth. Yes, only Bo who's put in a couple seasons can be counted on. The guys you mentioned from the past. Well Coho people had hopes based on his junior accomplishments. The others please that was unrealistic. The hope was they become regular NHL players. |

Seems like a smart, , well thought out, prudent idea.
Can't wait until some posters actually start seriously suggesting this during the off-season. |
