Not with this roster. - LordHumungous
with this roster there were games we should have won, there was also games we could have won but didnt due to deployment issues. That right there is immediately fixable with a smarter coach resulting in more wins.
We need a new system. THat right there will change things for the better.
we need a coach that gets the most out of indivual players and uses them in situations to match their strengths. THat right there will create success.....
and roster can be upgraded in the meantime |

For now nothing wrong with WD grooming the youths.
When we r ready to be a PO team thats another story for another day.
That said WD will be under the microscope as in loses the room etc.
Until there is a permanent type coach we need idk when the timing is best for WD to be gone. I see no panic to choose yet. - Nighthawk
youre assuming he is doing that. Yet Malhotra is actually officially named as player development coach. how is everyone overlooking that? |

Yup... no rush.
To think the problem is just coaching.... is
Let him go when hrs losses the room or we want to compete... until than i see more successful development then ruined players. - Pres.cup
Trying to understand what you are saying with the contradictions. You want WD to stay with the Nucks to develop the youth. But you want the youth in the minors where they belong. How does that work |

Butt this is the roster we have now so why change the coach until the roster is better. Are you cheering on a10ov pick? Because i dont care who the coach is, this isnt a contending roster as its now constructed. The youngsters are developing just fine. So love him or hate him he's not hurting the club to keep around for another 5 years or so. |

so your idea is to let us become the oilers and leafs following years of losing. Great plan there
to not see the coaches role is this crapfest is very short sighted. |

Without getting things in a tizzy here, it is important to develop youth. Where did you get that thought. They most definitely should be developed...in the minors where they belong - Makita
When is it right for the youth to play over the plugs? To further their development in the NHL? |

Where did i say that?
The youth that prove they belong such as horvat and baer should be up and WD hasnt hurt their play.
Why must you be so argumentative?
Do you belive that all the young players currently on the roster belong in the NHL?
What you quoted had nothing to do with what your talking about.
Take a walk, clear your mind and come back focused.
You dont have to be right all the time...ok. |

There is little to no talent with this current roster. AHLers and fringe NHLers mixed with a few aging veterans. Goaltending was excellent for the most part. Otherwise the team sucks. Plain & simple. Sucks.
Blaming coaching alone is ridiculous. |

wow you havent a clue as to how this works.
It takes time to get players used to a system as a team. It takes time to institute the things you want in the team.... No team becomes a contender by roster only. Even the pens were losing till they changed their coach and now look at them.
boy in one ear and out the other with you huh
so just believe whatever crud you want. No point arguing with me just cause you cant seem to get it |

when they deserve it.
See Virtanen, Dal Colle, Mantha (up until this season), McCan
See Pastrnak, Ehlers, Nylander, Marner |

The young players have developed well with Willie as their coach, you just can't see it but others can. |

There's a reason that virtually every hockey journalist predicted the Canucks finishing where they are going to finish. Non of those predictions had anything to do with coaching. |

The league has never been so skilled and fast, I disagree. I think it boils down to giving time to kids who truly deserve it, and not give every talented kid a pass at playing in the show because they had success in junior, or the NCAA. I think its all about giving kids opportunities if they deserve them, and that's it. - Codes1087

Our highest scoring player is 83rd in league scoring, so yeah our team sucks. |

If we trade edler and tanev then we become the oil or the leafs.
The players still play hard. The kids are alright.
To blame the season on the coach is ridiculous.
Have you ever coached?
Do you think av would have us in the show?
Who do you suggest right now?
Nobody better, wait until he loses the room then can him.
Wait until the kids have developed and its time to compete, then hire a playoff coach.
(frank) these are your own words im feeding back to you.
Has he ruined horvat or Baer or Gran?
Hell no. |

Yes i assume much. I'm on record wanting Tallon here in a capacity he excels at.
Idc the price but FA should do it if its possible. Tallon luvs his golf & sunny weather & an Canuck our 1st ever pick & a proven builder of teams. We check off all boxes except the weather 😂😂 Back up the Brinks truck if he would join us. |
