Really hoping the Bulls lose tomorrow so they don't have to keep putting the basketball flooring down to frank up the ice at the UC during the playoffs.

I am made my first and only call to Sirius hockey and Gordie was on with ex-NHL -player, Patrick O'Sullivan (five teams, four entire seaosn and parts of three others)...i called and said I thought with the league so closely watching various concern areas why wasn't the fcat that in the playoffs, and during the season, there was a notably different time allowed to punish a player who had possession but passed the puck on to a teammate.
During the season, it is about 8/10ths of a second and suddenly the playoffs start and the guy in possession, who passes the puck on, seems to be a free hit almost two or more seconds AFTER he had the puck is off his stick and it might even be on to a THIRD teammate and he gets clocked with a hit, and it is not called as "late" or roughing.

Gordie tried to play it off that it wasnt't true but the x-player O'Sullivan said, "He's right, the refs DO let that go to add to the entertainment and "let it go" style."

I think it's simply wrong and more guys get hurt in thoses situations and it goes on with the hope that you do cause injury.

Don't think that will change, but wanted "discussed."

I enjoy listening to O'sullivan. Feel bad for how he was raised. But if there is a silver lining to every dark cloud it is that I think it gives him great perspective. I respect his opinion, no matter if I agree with him or not.

Sorry if I missed this, but is Desjardins injured? If Kero doesn't hold up, I wouldn't mind Desjardins seeing time at 4C. Not fleet of foot, but he's pretty decent on faceoffs and can contribute to a really heavy forecheck playing with Hayden and Tootoo.

I didn't notice him leave during the game but Q stated after the Kings game that Dejardins was day to day with a lower body injury.

Not too surprising. I've not been the biggest supporter of Tootoo, given how ineffective he was playing his 5 minutes per night early in the year, but he has been better lately. I'm sure that when push comes to shove Q will double shift Hossa/Kane in his place.

I believe Kero is better defensively at center than Dezi, considering we are going to lose many face offs and it'll also allow Q to use his blender since Kero has had success between Kane and Panarin as well as Hossa and Hartman. I would of gone with Moose instead of Tootoo for PK purposes but I'm not coaching the team.

Actually Tootoo in the lineup debunks your Preds in 5 since half his goals he scored this year were against Nashville

While it’s still not clear how the NHL’s decision to forego the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang will affect the contract negotiations of certain free agents already in the league, it has now officially claimed its first victims overseas.

In a piece from AFP published this morning on Yahoo Sports, the agent for Maxim Shalunov and Anton Burdasov has reportedly shut down negotiations with NHL clubs for next season due to their hope to suit up for Russia at the Games.

Well then....maybe that extra Tootoo goal pushes the Preds victory out to 6 games.

I hate Moose as a top 6 alternative. But he's a nice depth player, has some size, responsible, knows his role. I like him for 4th line.

Still prefer Desi over Moose/Tootoo on the 4th when he's healthy. I like Hayden/Kero together too but both young pups could use a vet guy like Desi to lead them in the playoff atmosphere.

Don't you worry, he'll change his picks after 2 games anyway after the Caps lay 8 goals in a game against the Leafs.
