You are revealing a good angle here. Trading partner would be a contender. If there is value in the UFA's for Nucks to sign to fill in for Edler and Tanev; then, wouldn't the teams wanting D do that? Why lose assets for them. Plus save cap space as Edler and Tanev don't come cheap either.

Not to mention, why would a decent or capable UFA vet, to take over for Edler and or Tanev, sign here? The Canucks won't give out a big contract. They want to develop their young D to take over. The team is in rebuild mode.

Thus, if Canucks are able to move a D then that's only because their spot will be filled from within. If Sbisa is taken by Vegas then that scenario is even less likely.

Kulikov just had one hell of a rough year. Maybe he'd try a reset on a short term deal with a team that he'd likely get PP time on. With Edler gone, the only one ahead of him on offense is Hutton. That having been said, I would steer well clear of Kuli regardless of the condition of your D corps.

Whn not expose tanev in the draft anf offer them one of our 2nd and jakes for the 3rd oa
- Jkuzzi

A) Tanevs ntc doesn't kick inn until after the draft so he could just be traded.

B) Tanev, virt, 2nd for 3ov in a talky poopy draft year

C) I posted Edler, 2nd, 3rd for LV 3ov but Let's throw Hutton in as well

Weak draft makes them less valuable picks.
I think we should keep Edler and tanev but we have a logjam at LHD
Send stretch to the A

Lol.... go for 1ov in 2018

Good point. Best to stay away from UFA D. Fill from within and develop the youth. If Subban is still with Nucks he might see some PP time next season.

There is also the OJ option. Believe his workout regimen will get him to be strong enough to play pro next season. But if they don't change the PP system the players won't make enough of a difference.

Wings playing last game ever at the Joe. They will be into that game for their fans. They host the Devils. Only thing they will be into is heading for the golf course without incident or injury.

At least we know WD won't have his team thinking that way on the road. The rest...well...is up for debate.

If we had a do-over, would we still take LE over Looch?

cue the votes for 'neither' !!

I wanted Lucic, he's proving his value now, while LE continues to sit out.

Neither was what most people were saying, at least ones that knew this team is gonna suck for awhile.

Tonight's game hopefully marks the last time we will have to see the likes of Larsen, Skille, Chaput, Shore and perhaps even Sbisa in a Canuck's Uni

I don't see the point of being up against the cap for no apparent reason when the team isn't very good.

But if you had to pick one?

I was ok with LE and think he'll improve (can't be much worse tbh).
i'd still take Lucic tho.
