guys at that level of talent dont really see their value fluctuate all that much. General consensus around the league regarding him and what he can do on a good team is pretty much the same. Have to figure someone will pay.

I'll tell you what if the rumors are true that's Sam and Jack aren't living together anymore then I'll put something into this

so is nathan mackinnon, but i doubt the perception of what he can be has changed. It also helps that unless something changes he will be the best forward available on the trade market.

I don't think Duchene is going to get the Aves the crazy boatload haul they were expecting. Especially after the season he had. He'll be 27 next year

I hadn't Jones #1, then Barkov (who I was hoping we'd trade up for), and then Monahan 3rd
I thought MacKinnon would have trouble with his size/weight,
but he's been pretty good in a rough spot

I also LOVED the Risto pick while MANY on here were freaking out & saying we should've taken Nichuskin

I liked Elias Lindholm a lot in that draft too

There was a good argument at the time, but I loved that Risto pick
Saw him play a few times in tourneys & loved the scouting reports about him being nasty in front of the net (which we have really started to see this year)

At the time my mindset was we needed forwards, and he was a talented dropper along the lines of Grigorenko. And then we took two defensemen I'd never heard of

Yes exactly. They said something like "if the rumors are true about the friction between some of the young guys and the coaching staff..." and mentioned Sam and Jack names

But i believe it was more in reference to Bylsma being on the hot seat.
