and we are one of the few who have the open slots to take advantage

Unless all these teams can work out deals w Vegas,
There will be more sellers than buyers

It’s obvious that Cheveldayoff is asking a pretty penny for Jacob Trouba, which has become the norm for any highly-valued player these days. It’s also fairly obvious that the Jets are looking for one, if not two, top-tier forwards as part of the deal, and in the Red Wings case, Dylan Larkin was surely one of those desired forwards.

Or keep him & lose Myers in the draft

but bc of the expansion draft,
circumstances are now in our favor

All these teams could normally afford to wait,
but now they'll be forced to make moves
