Gionta has been ok but I think people forget the fact that he is small and not very fast anymore. He is completely useless in the corners and rarely wins puck battles anywhere on the ice. Sure, he is still good around the net but as a team I want to get bigger and faster so that the ice does not always feel like its tilted towards our end. This is a young man's league. - Slump Buster
He schools those tires, and Sabretooth, in that one commercial though. |

Well, it comes with some added weight this coming year. We will be under more pressure than ever to succeed and get fired up on a nightly basis. Some (if not most) of that pressure will surely fall on the "C" - lulags
Ehh you usually hear from most players that many teams captain isnt always the leader in the room as it is just the face of the franchise.. I think jack will be captain but waiting a year wouldnt be make or break him |

I have no problems with his game...ain't as fast as he once was but he can still get up and down the ice pretty well for a 38 yr. old |

am thinking moulson's a buyout candidate this off season - Michael Pachla
I hope so. She did scrape together just a mediocre enough season that someone may take him if we eat some contract but buy out would be better for the cap. |

And Larsson does not posses the grit to be an effective forth liner. Couldn't agree more. Time to make some changes and give the young guys a shot. - lulags
Rodrigues probably won the third-line role |

am hoping that one of Larsson or girgensons is appealing to the knights - Michael Pachla
Bogosian, Ennis, Moulson much more important to lose than those two. |

that's a good point...if some team will take him with us picking up half his salary I could live with that |

GMTM will have to pull of a couple of miracles in the off season to justify keeping his job. Should start getting interesting at the draft. |

He didn't do that last year, so why would he this year? - kingcong39

Indication remains that Dan Bylsma's job remains safe as #Sabres coach.

Solid reasoning...
On the defense, is it fair to guess that if they sign Antipin, they plan on their left side D to be McCabe, Antipin, and Guhle for next year?
If so, that means only one D man will likely be inbound and that would be an RHD?
Regardless of the above, count me as one of those on board with attempting to get Tanev if it is at all possible. |

I like him, but I think you should do better as the 3rd C. I think he won the 4th center role. |

He only has 1 year left. He will probably be protected with hopes he can play in the top 6 if 21 can't return.
Edit- he has 2 |

unless they find a taker for gorges i think guhle gets top pair ahl mins next year.
McCabe-Risto
Antipin-new guy
Gorges-Bogosian
Falk
Id try for tanev as well. They'll likely come up short though. Id like to think Faulk is still an option. Maybe Ellis or Manson depending on what those teams do leading up to expansion. |

There are few options in FA but you dont want to be overpaying by too much there. I can live with him as 3c, make it an area you address at the deadline if you're close to the playoffs. |

No. This will not work. This is problem #1 with the defense. A second pair is masquerading as a top pair |
