I would assume it has to do with not letting a 20 year old who has yet to win anything at this level steer the ship. I'm not saying it's right, but it's the only somewhat logical mindset I can think of.

capitals took a lot of heat for it at the time but the niskanen signing may be one of the best of the last decade.

I feel like this who wears the C is a little overblown. IMO it's gio and when he's gone it's jack. Also it's not a make or break for jack if he gets it next year or the year after.

yes and no. I mean they should move on from him no doubt. Hes not helping 5v5 play but his numbers possession wise indicate hes not really hurting it either especially at his minutes.

The real issue is having the #3 and #4 defence spot occupied by two #6's being paid like a #2 and #3.

I honestly don't (frank)ing get it....the team QUIT on him....they played their best hockey when they ignored his "system"...and most of the same core players who clearly don't like him will be back next year.

But Disco gets to dance again because of injuries...

How does this make any damn sense. This organization is a (frank)ing JOKE if they do not fire him.


EDIT: and don't reply to this with some comment about Murray, he may have not put the best roster together....But Eichel, Risto, Reinhart, ROR, Okposo, Kane and to a lesser extant McCabe, Girgs, and a resurgent Gionta. A good coach, with that roster, would find a way to avoid finishing LAST in the (frank)ing division.

scoring 5 on 5 sucked not because of molson...rather:
- Disco Dumbo playing Foligno on top 2 lines
- GMTM not getting a suitable LW for ROR
- Disco Dumbo not Playing Kane on Eichel left side for 90% of the season
- Disco Dumbo playing Dlo up in the top 6 for periods of time
- Disco Dumbo's system had players very confused and therefore thinking too much
- Disco Dumbo's system not calling on the Dmen to jump in the play on a regular basis
(remember 2006 / 2007 when the Dmen were trailers getting set-up with feeds at the top of the circles, ya it works)
- Players choking too much when Jack set them up with glorious passes

Molson certainly didn't help - but he aint the reason...he like 10th on the list

I'm not sure anyone will be held accountable. Murray said he's open to resigning Gionta and Bylsma looks like he's staying on. Looks like Murray is going to have to make personnel changes. Reshuffling the bottom six isn't going to help much

We have 0 puck moving defencemen. Its that bad

We were? most outsiders were dead on with their predictions, citing the really bad blue line as the reason why we wouldnt be good this year.

Not sure if you saw my earlier posts. 50% of the way there is about right. Okposo going down hurts a ton as it leaves a huge hole in the top 6 where we were 2 players short already.
GMTM needs for special powers to be granted unto him to make a couple of miracle moves this year.
Also, moving Kane or Reinhart for a D, just makes the top 6 holes even bigger.
