Next year could add Juolevi, Dahlin and maybe this year's draft pick at the expense of... Rodin and Larsen? - Lindenis#1
Larsen should be untouchable. Foundational piece |

According to JB he was such a star in Russia on the PP there was no way he wouldn't be great. Its Larsen's time now. he's bigger and stronger and has so much skill on the backend.

I like Molino too , Boucher I am neither for or against - VANTEL
It would be great to have Boucher in Utica as our first callup but i suspect he finds a job elsewhere |

Maybe they should bring in Rikard Gronborg as coach. |

Jim tipped is hand today and said there are a few in this draft NHL ready so maybe we have seen the last of Skille and Chaput

I actually like Skille, he is a solid 4th liner. Agreed on Megna and Chaput |

Interesting to see that Benning is using his get out of jail card so early. I won't miss WD's head scratching decisions but he certainly wasn't the issue with this team.
I think this team is bound to improve next year based off of luck alone, but I'm sure we will hear it because of the new coaching regime at some point.
The way I see it, this team is in the best shape it's been in since 2012.
They have a few legit prospects in Demko, Boeser, Joulevi, Goldobin and Dahlen. They have some legit young players who have proven to be able to play in the NHL and still look to grow in Horvat, Baertschi, Granlund, Stecher, Tryamkin, Hutton and Gaunce. Their vets for the most part all disappointed this year and are likely to bounce back with the exception of Sutter who might of overachieved.
And we get 2nd best odds at the draft.

How did the Star's BS Honka on their AHL team at 19 vs sending him back ot the WHL?
Would Juolevi qualify for that?
Getting him, Dahlin, and a few others onto the AHL team next year would be ideal. Wouldn't even mind Boeser down there with JV and maybe some others who have eligibility so the team could bring in a bunch of vets on PTOs and see who can be sold off for picks after 20/40/55 games. Maybe even luck out into another Dahlen or Goldobin if some castoff plays great |

He's one of those guys who's useless when he's not scoring, but his shot is lethal. He's either a 4th line PP specialist or in the AHL |

I wouldn't mind Chaput if they kept him to what Chaput is and not what WD thought he was.
AHL center depth. Gives your wingers on the farm an experienced and talented enough C at that level to make plays with them and help develop
Skille can vanish. |

OJ doesn't qualify, Honka was drafted out of Europe and OJ was drafted out of the OHL. Dahlen says he wants to stay in Sweden for one more season. |

There is a spot for those guys. PA Paranteau iss still in the league. Drew Stafford. Sam Gagner. Vanek. The list goes on.
Put a year into developing him and maybe you sell him off at the deadline for a 3rd rounder. Prime pump and dump kind of player. |

That's too bad about Dahlen.
Honka was drafted right off Swift Current. He hasn't played in Europe since before his draft year when he was 16 |

Hmm, I forgot what the exact rule was then. I think it has something to do with how they transfer from Europe to the CHL. Some CBA nerd can probably fill me in. |

He won't clear waivers to send down. But he's shown he can be versatile playing up and down the line up on both wings. Heavy quick shot and PP capable. Is good depth guy to keep around. Got a little griiter using stocky frame. Needs to play with speed guys to cover him on backcheck. |
