I also don't think he is going anywhere for the record...just presenting what I was told. The core of this team is on their way out anyways so who cares.

If we trade one of Edler or Tanev this guy would be a good fit at around same $ value as Tanev

He is sound defensively and he hits, he would be able to eat top minutes, mentor young defenseman and allow us to move one of our current top 2 defenseman for another pick.

Once TO gets bounced in 4 maybe 5 they may see a need for giving up 1st pick to help solidify defense.

still every indication we've seen has been that he's well liked and cares about his team mates. Even noticed the last game with him in the penalty box his expression when they were scored on in a means nothing game.

I followed Tri City a lot this year and like Geekie Rasmussen and Valimaki, did you ever see them play live and if so what are your thoughts on those 3.

Tri city doesn't come very often to Brandon. I've seen highlights from Rasmussen and Valimaki. I like Valimaki has good speed. I don't know about having OJ and him on the left side. Rasmussen, i'm not high on him. Players that size just doesn't seem to pan out unless they are D.

I've mentioned getting rid of Edler and pairing him with Stecher on the top pairing. Much more sound defensively then Edler.

Him turning into Joe isn't a gamble. It's an absolute no brainer it's not happening. Just because they are close in size doesn't make it a comparable or a "gamble". He could become John Scott or Brian Boyle.
