Cody Glass at 3 is a bit of a surprise. I would have thought 6 or 7. I would be fine if he ends up as a Canuck if we fall in draft order to 4 or 5.

Yes it's not conventional. But I revised my preference of Nuck picks for their top 5 list seeing more Ultra is needed.

1)Mittelstadt - Highest hockey IQ. Most creative and great speed.
2)Nolan- solid at everything
3)Nico - Big game performer and producer
4)Glass- grittiest of elite talent. Always working to improve areas of deficiency.
5)Vilardi - playmaker extrodinare and checking fiend

By the way. Middlestadt has decent size. He's not soft. Just hasn't needed to be gritty in the leagues he's played in. Too good of a skater and creato to need to flip and chase. Thinks the game more to take advantage.

Mittlestadt can't score 5 on 5 which is a concern

From what I read and oberved. Plus some inside info from college scouts I talked too. His vision on ice and how he thinks the game. Elevates his teammates and positioning. He's a smart player.

You mentioned he has too many holes last thread. Can you elaborate?

The Kings just fired Darryl Sutter AND Dean Lombardi.

Huge, but I thought it should happen if they missed the playoffs.

We now have another case study to watch in how to try to turn around a team with too many big contracts that lost its way. Never mind about Quick having been out almost all season...

Darryl Sutter now available as a coach. And Lombardi as a GM for that matter. JB can move to head of scouting. Linden can be in charge of hot dogs.

8 even strength goals in 24 games and the top point per game producer in the USHL.

He can. Don't let the stats fool you there. He has the ability. It's been a combination of things with teams he's played on. Plus he's been a student of the game. Works on looking to be creative and use his teammates.

How familiar does this sound? On the Kings, from former SoCal beat writer Abby Mastracco:

"One postseason win since 2014, haven't kept up in the Pacific Division, bad contracts they can't move, haven't developed young talent."
