"The question came quietly to a handful of players.
“What should the Sabres do with Evander Kane?”
In every instance – every one – the response was the same. They raised their eyebrows, tilted their head and took a deep breath.
“That’s a tough one,” they said."
I don't think he is here for the long haul man. - sbroads24
Like I said, this team has bigger issues then Evander Kane and if they can't see it, the problems will never get fixed. 15 and 55, anyone else should look out. |

I would move ROR before I moved Kane out. ROR is a nice player, but don't think he is part of "core" that gets us to a Stanley Cup |

I would have to disagree with you on that one, ROR is more valuable to this team then Kane is and i'm a Kane fan. I didn't include ROR and Okposo on the list because they aren't moving either one and most know that. |

O'Reilly plays all three phases of the game and gets 60-65 points a year while never taking penalties. Don't get me wrong, i like Kane but he doesn't bring the versatility that ROR does |

He's a good player no doubt, but $7.5M good? I'll take Kane at 6.0-6.5, he puts the biscuit in the basket. |

Yeah, well, that just like, your opinion, man. Idk where you're getting that though. Great on faceoffs, similar point production to Toews and the players all respect him |

He had eight more goals than O'reilly. 8 goals isn't worth the two-way play, playmaking, faceoffs, leadership and PK play |

Proposal from another board. It seems everyone thinks its a good deal.
Sam Reinhart, #6
Chris Tanev, #2
I'm all for this. Replace Reinhart with Nico or Patrick with the #2.
Move Kane Possibly for another D-man.
Sign Antipin
McCabe+ for Landeskog then?

compare these two ideas:
reinhart +6OA for tanev +2OA.
and
reinhart for hanifin
in the first trade, we get a 27 year old, right handed, steady defenseman and either patrick or hischier at pick 2. this draft is weak, but its reasonable to me that hischier could be better than reinhart at some point. tanev is under contract for 3 more years at roughly 4.5. i think what i like least about this is that tanev is another righty.
reinhart for hanifin is another trade i have seen mentioned. its two pedigreed young players, neither has been bad, but neither has played to their potential, both are blocked by other players at their natural position with their current organization. hanifin is a left handed d. sabres keep pick 6 and draft bpa, which could very well be makar (rhd) or heiskanen (lhd) and wait for them to develop. |

This is close to being the dumbest thing I read today. Only thing that beats it is this:

I think once ror is dropped to the clear cut second line and eichel is on the clear cut top line
we will see better production from both
ror will still get the same ice time due to pk play |

I would love to see him play about 18-19 minutes. That's optimal IMO |

I'm guessing we're out of Cal Peterson, otherwise he would have signed by now. Predicting Murray will say, "we'd like to have him, but it's in the players' hands now. he's earned that right." |
