Maybe, I personally have no idea.
from what I have read, and a Canes fan that has posted on here confirmed, Pesce, Slavin, and Hanifin look to be the future of that blue line. They also have Murphy and Fluery.
They don't have a great top 9 in terms of forwards though. 23 or 9 would be an upgrade for them. - sbroads24

Pure speculation, no proof of this. Harrington and Sullivan just guess at this sh#t. Could be true but we have no clue. - turbo044

sometimes I just have to shake my head when I read some of the stuff on this board, If Cal Petersen reads this board he definitely won't come here with all the narcissuses on here. Carrier is meh? He is exactly the type of player teams who win have on their teams, He skates fast and hard, hits like a freight train and goes to the dirty areas of the ice where goals are scored, my guess is next year he will come in more confident now that he knows what it takes to succeed in the league. Bailey is a player who gets better as he gets familiar with his surroundings, he improved in his second year in juniors over his first and did the same thing in Rochester. Babtiste is another one, he improved this year and he might be ready to make the jump next year. These are guys that should be able to contribute on any of the bottom 3 lines. If the young players weren't doing what the coaches wanted or weren't happy with the system, I think that falls on the veterans in the room for not setting them straight. I get that Jack is a stud and wants to play the way he played in college were he just free wheels around, But the NHL is more structured, I saw plenty of times this year where a goal was scored on us and Jack and Sam were slow to get back on D, I don't think that is Bylsma's fault. I know the D wasn't very good, but if we didn't have so many injuries back there, it might have been better, didn't we have 3 guys from Rochester and 1 from Juniors on defense for a couple games, I can't see how that is Murray's fault. |

Jack's body language is always like that, he takes losing hard. He may have a d@ckhead Dan disconnect, but, it's just us guessing/assuming |

Sure, on their 4th line.
He played about 15-20 games on ROR's wing and didn't produce. So he went to the 4th line, where he belonged |

It seems like just yesterday that all you guys were trolling me for saying Vesey would sign with the rangers and saying things like "rangers and sabres are going in opposite directions! Sabres are on the upswing and rangers won't even make the playoffs!"
Good times. So who's pumped for the lottery? |

Thanks for pointing out games where they made comebacks or did a decent job of scoring as well as associating it with "opening up a little."
I feel like the reality is, playing a defense first style when everyone is healthy and losing 2-1 or losing in a shootout but winning when you open it up puts the blame squarely on the coach. I understand no coach likes a 5-4 game, but the fans sure do. Even if we end up on the wrong side of it sometimes.
This team looked neutered for a lot of the year. AND they lost.
you would think at some point Bylsma would have just taken the leash off. Especially once we were out of the playoffs....just try something different.
But nope, he's doing exactly what many Penguins fans told us he would do. Favor vets and stubbornly not change a thing even when it's obvious what he's doing isn't working. - seedy

Lots of buzz surrounding a couple college coaches too in David Quinn and Jim Montgomery. Can see at least one in NHL next year
Maybe that's why Jack was wearing his hat ... |
