I put a jug of brita filtered water in my fridge. The jug has a small timer on it that tells me when it is time to replace the filter. Is that the same as you are asking about???

NO. But their 5 filter, filtration system gets me sweating and panting every time I look at them in Wal-mart, when I am picking up new Brita filters.

You mean aside from have many of the same qualifications that NHL coaches and GMs have that you hold in such high esteem? He runs a company specifically focused on watching every bit of game video and quantifying the positive and negative impacts each player has throughout those games. Not saying he or his methods are flawless, but unless you're suggesting that coaches and GMs are supreme beings who are innately able to tell good from bad due to pure talent, then he's doing exactly what you say they do here:

however use them in conjunction with what they see, and relate them to the intangibles that effect said stats.

This is the culmination of the whole "stats don't tell the whole picture" argument in action. Someone investing the time to watch every player and every game to use the data gathered from that to quantify individual player impacts. Viewing bias is even accounted for.

Pretty much. Stress has been building as it does at the end of every year. Spent the last 3 weeks piecing together the 6 projects (two of which my group is severely under-manned) for 5 classes and am now left with a research paper for a COMM class, a 15 minute documentary, a storyboard for a project next semester and 4 finals in the next week and a half.

I want to, but they are sooooo much more expensive. Plus I don't live on the east coast, so do I really need the 5 filters? As there is no lobster brine and flat Alexander Keith's to filter from the water we drink out here?
