Not sure what some of you guys were watching, but, it apparently wasn't the TM press conference. What exactly did he say that was rookie-like or gave you less confidence in him?? The season sucked, yeah we get that, but the press conference was fine.

He knew the questions he'd be getting, and he tried to spin the room by making the members of the media look like jerks for even asking questions. He looked lost and without real answers. If that's how he faces adversity being a team's GM when he doesn't have a boatload of assets handed to him so he can go shopping, then we're in big trouble. |

Just got some news on Okposo and it looks grim. He had a pretty dramatic breakdown when he was at the ICU. The nurse that was with him thinks he's done with hockey apparently

Murray's undoing will be his mismanaging of expectations. When all the injuries happened it exposed the lack of depth in the organization. I always felt like Kulikov was underrated when he played in Florida. Now he gets hurt here and by the time he was healthy seemed disinterested and never played up to potential. I see the logic behind that trade however and on paper he should have been a top 4 D-Man LHD. Cant blame Murray for injuries, however, we can blame him for not having a back-up plan. With our cap situation though it would have meant moving out more assets to acquire depth (isnt that what we are butchering him for doing) instead of staying the course. He himself said he expected that the D would have been playoff worthy but not contender ready so that gives me some faith in his evaluation of our current situation. He needs to find away to unload one of Moulson/Blowgosian to free up money to address our defensive issues, I keep Ennis as of now as his stretch of play over the last 10 games showed he may have gotten his mojo back. Concerning how Bylsma is still here because I believe we have a lot more talent then we showed out there and that's a coaching issue more or less putting the right players out there |
