Boston doesn't impress you ?

I thought they were about done before this year but they are still one of the best teams in the NHL

They have the 4th and 10th leading goal scorers, and the best line in hockey currently. On defense they have McAvoy, Krug, and Carlo as young top 4 D men, and some prospects on the way in terms of forwards.

Hate to say it but they are going to be around for a while

- sbroads24

I think they'll stay relevant, but more like a fringe playoff team
But besides Marchand & Pasternak, they don't really have any "goal scorers"
Chara is about done & Rask doesn't look like a dominant goalie anymore
Bergeron is no spring chicken (32?) and that Backes signing was dumb

I think I'm more concerned with Florida...
but Jagr is an issue they have to figure out (not a top6 guy anymore)
And Loungo/goaltending is becoming an issue with them

Those commercials are great
Probably the most creative on tv
This one in particular made me "laugh out loud"
Great stuff

PS...
The Caps are gonna destroy the leafs
And it's probably too early to say "I told u so" about the Oilers,
but they got whipped in their own building & SJ without Thornton
Sharks & their experience will be moving on to round 2

7.6% chance of #1 overall...we could be anywhere from 1-3 or 5-8. Any chance we go for D or does TM try to trade down/up/out?

Lilgegren, Heiskanen, Makar are only Defense id consider in top 10 outside chance valimaki

Lilgegren only player id consider top 5 (but i think there are better options)

I can see us trading down if we pick 3 or later. 1 or 2, Nico or Patrick, we're making the pick.

As for Dmen, Liljegren, Valimaki, Makar... I'm fine with these guys picked 6-9. Maybe we can even get Makar in the 10-13 range and pick up a very nice asset for moving back.

Haven't watched Makar at all. And I know he's risen a lot recently...

But I really like Valimaki. Having seen him play a few times now, his offensive skill is remarkable. He has a few sneaky little passes he tries in the O zone, particularly back door plays, that created frequent chances when he got the puck at the point. Good outlet pass and a good skater.

I'm hoping we trade back with someone at 10 or so, grab a pick or a prospect, and him. He's going to be the real deal I think. Heiskanen and Lily are going to be top4 guys most likely as well, but I think Valimaki could have that X factor.

Yea i like Valimaki alot could see him paired with risto down the line

I think Makar and Liljegren are PP QB types

Heiskanen- All around guy

Valimaki-All around with offensive upside

All great skaters

I like the idea of trading back but at the same time i think there are some really high upside forwards that i would consider as well.

This is true. There are some real good players in that top 10. Might be a weaker draft, but this top 10 aren't 2nd round picks of yesteryears...they're good players.

It's really something that a lot of our future hinges on how good Brendan Guhle becomes.

I hope so then. He will be a good top4 broads, I'd put the ranch on it. He's that smooth. Hate to say it, but some aspects of his game remind me of Pysyk's. Calm, collected, good passer. Difference is this kid can absolutely FLY.

Mittelstadt is a guy that is very intriguing to me. Seems like he has as much upside as anyone in the draft. He might be one of those one year college players. Def a pick that could get me excited

Tippett is another guy

A little interesting Factor in signing Viktor Antipin he could tell Tim Murray that he's going to leave in the middle of the year for the Olympics

That's assuming he's considered one of the top 8 Russian defensemen playing in the world today. Not so sure this is true.

But not all of our future. Yeah, there's a lot on him being a good nhl player but things can and do turn around quickly and a team's success never hinges on one guy.

I'm more concerned about KO's health and career right now than if our top d prospect will be an impact player at age 19.

It might be if the ones in the NHL are really banned from going. But I think Ovechkin really pushes it, and it becomes a case by case basis.
