He's got it good, JB can't play hardball with him at risk of upsetting the twins.

Status quo. Deal with it.

- VanHockeyGuy

Imagine if Uncle Lou didn't want to upset Kessel and Dion

Thank you Dan Hamhuis . How much did we get back for him?

If You are not moving older players then don't call it a rebuild

- VANTEL

Benning has moved lots of old players since he got here.

Benning can go up to Edler soon as the season is over and ask him where do you want to go TB ANA NY or Vegas ?
- VANTEL

I hear you but Benning would never get another job in hockey if he did that.

A lot of GMs will be doing that . Do you not think Kings are not going to put up Gaborik and Brown on that exposed list?

TB will be dumping .

Way to many sentiments to players that do little on this fanbase. Look how hard it was to trade Lack.

Vancouver is already a desirable place to play and live and we overpaid way to many players. Benny and Linney's job should both be on the line for that alone. Christ a team that plays to the cap and we are 29th. Overspending is stupid.

I agree Vantel, but there is a huge difference. Edler still has value and a good contract. You can't afford to lose a valuable asset for nothing. Gaborik, Brown etc aren't assets. Maybe Edler will agree to waive at TDL? Things can change but it would be foolish if he tossed an asset to Vegas out of impatience

Other than his free agent over spending I think Benning has done quite well in other areas.

I am in no way campaigning for him to go . I am saying firing WD puts the bulls eye on him now. Who is the next in line to fire when the team finishes 29 th next year.

He's been playing the hand he was dealt. I'm not sure someone else coming in would have done better than him.

What is your favorite part of Edlers game

a) The turning the other cheek when his goaltender gets bolded over?
b) The predictable drop pass
C) The shooting the puck into the pads of defenders
D) The shooting into the creast of the goalie?

Shouldn't Lou and Babcock been fired after going from 27 to 30th then? Clearly FA is accepting losing and what JB and TL are doing.

I doubt he will be fired if we finish 29th for that reason alone. He may be fired if fan perception is still negative towards him. If he has a great draft this year and he young players continue to grow hopefully season results won't be the determining factor
