Gaunce. Sort of Labate...soon JV and Demko. Marskstrom. Kind of a stupid point. He has only had two NHL prospects the entire time. God couldn't develop Grenier into an NHL player

- CanuckDon

Goalies are in a category of their own IMO. Rollie/Cloutier spend most of their time with them, Green only picked games for them to play in.

I have a hard time judging Green's ability to develop players for the same reason it was tough for Willie, he's been trying to win.

I had hopes he could do something for Pedan, but so far him and Subban havent been able to get to the level where they can get promoted and played. McEneny might be his first developed D

I think I can help with this

"He's got great potential," said McLellan

Trotz said Reirden deserves all the credit for the growth of young defencemen and called him "a really bright hockey mind." That's an opinion shared by many of his colleagues

"I think he's one of the best teaching coaches in our game," said Bylsma

"He's big on habits and really consistent in his approach to how he wants the game played and what he likes to see you do," Niskanen said. "He's a constant communicator. He's really good at that."

JV has not turned around unless losing weight means turning around. He is getting the same results in Utica as he did here. Very little.

Utica still have not made the playoffs yet and coming to the NHL he will find many of the same faces on both clubs.

It is okay to bring him in but don't expect a switch to be turned on magically. This coaching gig is a two year stop gap. Green taking this gig will ruin his career much like Eakins did .

- VANTEL

Very little? Jake had a solid rookie NHL season straight from junior. But I think the expectations were too high and somehow he got into the team's doghouse.

We don't have access to a generational player so this franchise must develop. It's really important to develop your talent. You can't just pick a player in the top 10 and expect them to dominate the league.

Like it or not JV is one of this franchises top prospects and if he fails it says a lot about the state of this franchise under it's current leadership.

Subban did an amazing "Edler, snow angel" in last night's game.

Baertschi was there for 15 games. If anyone developed him, it was Willy. (not that people will ever be able to admit that here)
- Codes1087

I have no problem admitting that WD did well with young players just not an entire team of young players. Deployment and inability to make changes when it was needed is my problem with him.

Bit of an unknown on whether he could develop Dmen as the org has never really given him any of more than just okay potential

Wrong, green only needed 4 games to turn them into NHL players.

I haste you.... so fast

I'm going to bet like that guy who bet on Leicester City to win the Premier league in England then. Van's winning the stanley cup if TG is hired.

Fixed. Now there is no evidence to suggest it wasn't Green

Yeah thats why I went with "might", he has done well to see icetime in the ECHL and NHL in 2 seasons, but wouldnt be surprised if he never makes a call up again.

Perhaps, Dragon hasn't n seen him enough to endorse him yet.
Sutter yes.... I'll wait on a professional assessment before declaring him good

Dragon should write a guest blog once the new coach has been hired. He can get NuckFU to edit it for him.

Are we still focused on getting a playoff coach? Like if the coach cant do the things that will win in the playoffs, do we want him?
