Brynas IF - 3 vs. Frolunda - 1 in game 7 right now 9 mins left in the 3rd period... Winner plays HV71 in the finals.
Lindblom with 2 goals and 1 assist, and Felix starting in net for Brynas has stopped 31 of 32 shots. Lindblom looks and is the best player on the ice without a doubt, any time he's on the ice his name is mentioned always around the play and a danger - Yosimar89

Lindblom got the end of the game interview, no idea wtf he said but he looks dreamy
First goal, he tipped the puck in front of the goalie, moved it around him on the ice and scored so nice garbage goal and the second goal was a nice shot using the defenceman as a screen. |

I would like to as well. It's not guaranteed he makes it on the big club right away though even though he should, at least not with the GM and HC.
If he does make it i hope they don't stick him down there with whatever 4th line garbage they have. If that's the case i rather they get him on the Phantoms, getting first line minutes, instead of giving him 8-9 minutes with the likes of PEB and Co.

I think it will be more like (hopefully)
Lindblom-G-Jake
TK/Weise*-Coots-Schenn
Weal-Fil-Simmonds
PEB-Vecchione-TK/Weise*
*I think TK & Weise split time on the 2nd and 4th lines depending on game situation and matchups.

Myers should ideally get some AHL time for his own benefit.
Morin, Sanheim, Hagg should all be on the team already too. There may only be 2 spots as is with MacDonald. Myers isn't really more advanced than Sanheim was, and he got 1 year and ridiculously it sounds like they may plan for him to spend more time down there. Which is pointless for him and for the NHL team. - Mononoke
I don't know...Myers I think is better defensively than Sanheim at the same age from the bit I've watched. Myers was a top a pairing in WJC and looked very good, Sanheim was a #7 like Morin was and didn't look near as good when he was in, granted they didn't play him much. I'd have no problem with Myers seeing some AHL time. But if he shows hes the best of the bunch again in camp, it better be minimal |

I think Myers is a little looser defensively than people think, though he can play tighter if need be.
I wouldn't use the WJC as a nod towards Myers and a diss to Sanheim. If Myers was on that year's team he would've sat on the bench too. Hell he probably wouldn't have made it. It's like saying Konecny was a 4th liner and played behind Crouse and Virtanen so..... |

I agree to an extent. PP2 has been an absolute disaster, and you would have to make a legit effort to make PP1 bad with the talent they have on that unit.
Retaining the PK coach does raise a lot of concern for me. People wanna say it was a personnel issue, well it wasn't. They have the personnel, the staff just chooses to use their worst players in these high-leverage situations. Its dumb. Both should have been fired IMO. Only way it makes sense to me is if what BiggE has suggested comes to fruition.
I'd like to see more progressive thinking for the PK. I actually think Ghost would be a great PKer if given the opportunity, but dinosaurs. - JFlyers00
If you don't have a legitimate top defense pairing, then you don't have the personnel to have a top NHL PK unit.
Gostisbehere is not a defenseman that should be on the PK. |

Well camp will be interesting. Like you said...at least Amac is here to be that security blanket for the kids. Provorov needed it |

Totally forgot about TK... I really hope he doesn't spend any time on the 4th line next year. Weise and Coots on that 2nd line and you've got a very weak 2nd line offensively.
Lindblom-G-Simmer
Schenn-Valterri-Jake
TK-Cooter-Weal
?-PEB-Weise
Then, Cousins, Vech, Read to fight it out for the 4th line spot?
I can see Cooter and Valterri moving around as far as 2nd or 3rd line C. Not that it matters as Cooter will end up avg more ice time than him anyways. |

I'm pretty confident Lindblom is going to the roster next season. He's been playing in arguably the third best hockey league in the world for 3 years now. He's probably been one of the three best players in that league this season. The guy is the real deal and I believe he will be a pillar in the top 9 next season.

It's Good Friday, be positive.
Any thoughts on the goalie situation since Hexy suggested another goalie is going to be signed? I'm intrigued by Scott Darling. |

I have no idea. Assuming they go with someone on a 1 or 2 year deal, they're probably looking at a downgrade from Mason. With Neuvirth, they also won't have a spot for a young guy to win as a backup next year. Thought they could have played things differently.
They really need better goalie play next season if they want to make the playoffs. It's hard to imagine them finding it if they only want a short term deal. |
