Today in 1969, the first MLB game in Canada is played as the Expos beat the Cardinals in their home opener at Jarry Park.

Was it not called MLB back when the Montreal Royals played? Chuck Connors of rifleman fame played for them I believe ? |

You really are a dumb bastard .
I am not saying one pick will turn us around . I am saying this years PICKS and a number one Dman next year and another high pick the following year will help turn it around.
I joke when I say I don't like Swedes and have said that on here many many times.
I don't like soft Swedes that turn the other cheek .
No Miller Burrows Hansen and the Twins one year older and you think we will rise from 29 th . Good luck with that now FO - VANTEL
I would agree with you on most points here.
Sending this years pick back to junior or AHL if euro would be good. Sad to say same as Toronto did with Marner, Nylander to AHL.
Don't have enough of the real high end talent to bring a bunch of rookies all up at once. If BB and Goldy are going to get a shot, that's probably enough rookies without experience to have in the line up on forward. |

He is a stupid (frank) because finishing last does in fact guarantee/win you a "lottery position". It doesn't guarantee you a win, but that's not what he said....he's a dumbass. |

I know the draft is a bit weaker then some of the previous drafts but Necas at 5 seems like a real stretch. Tomas Hertl is probably his closets czech player drafted 17th in 2012. Had 25 in 38. Necas 15 in 41. Hertl is the 3rd highest scorer in that draft though. - manvanfan
Well you were talking about him and the two Swedes as top Euros and where JB would rank them. I'm assuming for his top 5 pick. If anyone had a chance there I would say Necas. But personally, I have those three in the 6-10 range in this unusually more unpredictable draft. Don't see JB wanting to drop there in a trade or gettting another pick that high. |

That still doesn't win you a lotto position. But keep beating that drum on how much the Canucks will suck. Far removed from the pre tank one of there will be changes to this roster. A turnaround is a process but not necessarily a destiny of ineptitude. Perhaps, your distaste for the Swedes may leave you blind to the outcome. Unknown and yet to be determined. - Nuck4U
Why don't you shut up and go away. Forever. No one here likes you. You ruin the threads. |

Would you say that "accidental tanking" and "purposely tanking" would garner the same result? A high draft pick. |

WD did say how the team lacked depth also. Megna now has now doubled his NHL experience. I sure hope he could be better next season in a 4th line roll. 3rd if absolutely needed. |

I wonder more not about dropping but picking up a second 1st if he has 1 of those players in his top 8 and they fall below 10. |

Perhaps you haven't had your coffee yet or you need to add more sugar to it. You really are a bitter pill when you don't read a post properly. How you think any of the above was said is mind boggling. Perhaps you're in a painful state to want to slant things in such a fracktard way.
Next season is not already written. There are a lot of unknown factors with the changes. Listing vets who are gone, or had a downturn, as the reason for continued futility is a limiting factor. It's still not a complete predictive model. You can have your opinions. That's fine. Just don't spew out that tone of negativity on me. Anyway, have a nice black day you smug old bastard. |

They potentially could. Everyone who doesn't make the playoffs, as I'm sure you're aware, gets a lottery position, however small the odds. |

We will be throwing out the likes of Chaput Megna Gaunce Lababte I am not expecting much but I am fine with that.
I heard the Sedins say they will have a bounce back year next year. It is the worst thing that can happen for two reasons. We move further away from a top draft spot and management might be tempted to extend them. |
