I doubt anyone will trade their 1st for our 2 2nds, nor do I think it would be a good move for us unless someone they covet is available. - golfingsince
Someone in the 26 to 30 spot might be willing to move down slightly, but ya you're probably right. |

I'm not sure that Goldy isn't ready, I think he needs some confidence. He was on pace for 20 goals and no assists. See what the summer brings. - manvanfan
His offensive game is ready...but he's lost on the ice...looks over matched in every situation other then breaking out with the puck. He needs to know how to play without the puck...that's best served in the AHL in my opinion. |

Just feels as if he has to do the opposite of last season, felt he could get rid of a prospect for a D. This year get rid of a D for a prospect. - manvanfan
I follow you there. The development of Tree and Stecher plus possibility of OJ coming in has tilted his options now. Add in that if Sbisa doesn't get taken by Vegas; then, he's probably all in to deal. |

So was Bure. Game has changed though. |

And if he scores 40 plus goals you can deal with a lost soldier on the defensive side....but history shows until ya can do it...coaches aren't going to trust a player that gets turnstiled by 4th line plugs like Matt Martin. |

I'd love too as well....but watching him play just screamed of Jr hockey...he has to engage in the play not just float around an goal suck. |

I think he has the potential for that...not right away...4-5 years. |

16 to 26 range perhaps? - LeftCoaster
Yeah I get the value you are going for and that's reasonable on the lower end of 1st round. Mid range is a reach though. Just wondering if you had any particular teams in mind poised to do that? |

Goldy reminds me of a Hossa type player...largely invisible for large stretches and at the end of 60 mins he has 2 goals and 2 assists. You sit there like how the (frank) did he do that |

No....haven't thought that far ahead. It would more likely be a team in the 26 to 30 range willing to move down a few spots. Not really worth it unless a guy slips to area. |

Not everyone is going to be a defensive stud doesn't mean that won't get a shot. |

Typically teams aren't willing to move down more that three to five spots with only getting an extra pick out of the deal. So that's about all you're gonna get with just a picks for picks deal. |

Except Hossa is one of the best defensive wingers in NHL history, whereas Goldy it appears may not backcheck let alone create turnovers. |
