Versteeg fits in very well with the Flames but didn't last year with the Kings, but I get what you are saying. Alzner is looking for north of 5 mill a year.

No thank you.

Like I said a few weeks ago, the finger pointing has been going on for awhile now, it's just more noticeable now.

Gorges can finger point in the AHL all he wants next year

How about Karl Alzner for a partner for Risto, also Kris Versteeg for forward, he can play all 4 lines. Those are 2 UFA I could live with, 2 solid veteran players.
- macman9

I'd take Versteeg on the cheap but pass on Alzner

It's fine. Wait until teams start to get eliminated, and we move on to round 2.

If my players get eliminated can I drop them and pick up new guys or do I have to preemptively drop guys that I think are about to be eliminated?

I'm getting the feeling Murray is going to make big changes.

Facshing is a joke, i've never liked Kulikov and I really don't mind Bogo. There just seems to be to much disconnect from the players to the coaches and then back to the players.

Yeah, you can drop eliminated players.

You have to figure out when to make the move though and you have 15 moves, which seems like a lot. I would've liked 5 better.

If Bogo were only making 2 mil I wouldn't be so hard on him

That's the going price for a player like him, not the Sabres fault.

Well they didn't give him the contract but they did trade for it. On paper it could have paid off. Former high pick maybe could have benefitted from the change of scenery. But he has yet to match his play from the 15-20 games at the end of 2014-15 right after the trade.

I don't blame Bogo as much as I blame how dysfunctional the Sabres and there system is.

He would benefit more in a high flying, offensive role moreso than trying to be a defensive defenseman.

A system like Lindy's

Pegula likes Lindy but lets see how pissed he is when he meets with Murray in the next week or so. We need a VP of Hockey Ops, Brandon has no role with the Sabres he just wears a " badge ".

You read in the Buffalo News today how Harrington tossed Eichel into the fire and kept burning him.

I agree we could use a good hockey mind to oversee things (Pronger maybe?)

And I didn't see that, what did he say?

Check it out if you can it's kind of long to post, it's either under the article about Eichel or the one with Murray and Pegula, I think it's under the Eichel article.
