But you're crazy. Grabner scored 27 goals this year at 1.6 mil and has two goals in two games in the playoffs so far and one of them was a beautiful goal. There's no team that doesn't need that kind of good value signing.

Why does it have to be either or? Good teams figure out ways to make both work. It doesn't have to be Grabner, but you need to find players every year that produce beyond their salary. Tim Murray has done a mediocre job at best in that regard so far.

All I know is that Matthews has the worst nostrils since Judd Nelson. Very punchable face on that kid.

Matthews also only had 29 assists. Risto had 39 assists – does that make Risto Ultra-Generational? Patrik Laine had 36 goals and 28 assists in 73 games, both higher per game rates than Matthews. Can I therefore conclude that Laine is more Generational than Matthews? Bring it down a notch, buddy.

He played with Hyman all season and with two rookies splitting time in Brown and Nylander. He would of gotten plenty more assists with a scorer.

Either way you are using assists as an argument? That's comical. Considering secondary assists are pitty points. Let's forget all the records he broke and that he got 40 goals. Some players got more assists!

I said it last night, though. I'm getting tired of Canada sending out a full fledged NHL roster this year, while the US makes it some sort of U-23 development camp. The tournament is hard enough to get interested in to begin with.

Then again, USA Hockey decided at the World Cup that they don't have 20 skaters over the age of 23 better than Justin freaking Abdelkader, so maybe it doesn't make a difference.
