People say it's not deep, which is referring to cant miss prospects. Well we've taken two players in the top 10 in deep drafts that missed, so I don't really read much into that.

If you do the scouting, we will get some solid prospects no matter how deep it is.

- Scooby_Doo

You want to find kids with good skills you can work with. Finding a prospect with a good foundation is important but development is the next phase. Canucks need to get better at consistently making good prospects, lucky drafting wont be able to carry them out of this

It would be better if we acquired another middle first

There are no weak drafts. I don't know why people keep saying that. If you're good at scouting there are good prospects available.
- Scooby_Doo

I disagree.
I was at a pub in the middle of but (frank) nowhere and their draft was horrible, super weak and watery.

The twins draft was a weak draft.

When you speak in absolutes you'll already be talking incorrectly.

Ya no kidding, just saying they are thinking someone killed him. Either way....(frank) him!
- LeftCoaster

If they find out who killed him the gov should cut him a cheque for like 10,000 for saving them the hastle and cost of having to keep him in jail for the rest of his life.

Jack Eichel isn't willing to commit his future to the Buffalo Sabres as long as Dan Bylsma remains the team's coach, reports WGR 550's Paul Hamilton.

Eichel's agent just went on the record to say it was a false report. New contract will strictly be about $ and term, rather than coach and direction.

Yeah I just saw the follow up. I have some belief that there is some truth to it, but money/term will overcome coaching. Players, especially ones like Eichel, all know they have more security than coaches anyway

That's it, win the lottery
Draft PN to play 3C

Trade Megna and Chaput for a mid 1st rounder, throw in a sweetener with a NT (edler) if necessary.
Draft at 16 the last player drafted in this draft to play over 100 games!

Doesn't he want to go play in Toronto with the best player in the game.
Or was that all the other star prospects.

disappointing to hear that Zhukenov is most likely headed to Russia after his season is done rather than play in the AHL. Much prefer the level of competition and development of the AHL rather than the KHL

Once Tavares announces he is signing in TO, Eichel will demand a trade to TO.

Exactly. Don't blame others for your own mistakes. Had this conversation this morning with the wife. She did something stupid and was unwilling to own it.

I don't know why he would leave. He's got a perfect situation in Buffalo. He's the main man. The BMOC. It's his team and he will be able to influence team direction.

I never understand why athletes bail on a perfectly good situation. Kind of like Vince Carter/Tracy McGrady fiasco. That duo could have created something special in TO but for selfish reasons left... only to become footnotes in NBA history. So stupid.

Ultimately it's a terrible place and not somewhere you want to raise a family. Pretty good reason not to commit long term .

It wasn't that bad. More like me barking and her looking at me but not hearing a word I say.

I have a problem with how many times she takes our boys for fast food. It's like three to four times a week; and she's a children's diabetes specialist! When I complained she said it was my fault for introducing her to fast food, her busy schedule, kid's pressure, and McDonald's should just make better food.

I called her out just like I called out Dragon. Tired of all the BS. The world is being choked by it all.

If that was true then nobody would play for Detroit, Pittsburgh, Washington, Winnipeg, Philadelphia, etc. Most east coast American cities are gross. But playing for a pro sports team does shelter you from a city's ugliness.

Agree there are always good players available however it's fairly clear this year isn't all that great. Some will be better than others and vice/versa.

His agent took to Twitter to refute the whole thing. Said it's ridiculous. Every player has issues with their coach at some point, I'm sure he's no different, things just get blown out of proportion and media outlets run with it #fakenews

All of those Cities are substantially nicer than Buffalo (Winnipeg is the exception). Have you been to WAS, Pitts or Phillie? Or Buffalo for that matter? it is on a whole different level of trash. Players will play in Buffalo and Winnipeg but only if they are overpaid. Given the option and similar money, Eichel will bounce.

edit. Livability is one thing the Canucks will always have to entice free agents
