You want to find kids with good skills you can work with. Finding a prospect with a good foundation is important but development is the next phase. Canucks need to get better at consistently making good prospects, lucky drafting wont be able to carry them out of this - WhiteLie
Yes.
Nux should hire Andy Murray and his crew to help with that... That guy really works well with young teams and players. |

It wasn't that bad. More like me barking and her looking at me but not hearing a word I say.
I have a problem with how many times she takes our boys for fast food. It's like three to four times a week; and she's a children's diabetes specialist! When I complained she said it was my fault for introducing her to fast food, her busy schedule, kid's pressure, and McDonald's should just make better food.
I called her out just like I called out Dragon. Tired of all the BS. The world is being choked by it all. - bloatedmosquito

All of those Cities are substantially nicer than Buffalo (Winnipeg is the exception). Have you been to WAS, Pitts or Phillie? Or Buffalo for that matter? it is on a whole different level of trash. Players will play in Buffalo and Winnipeg but only if they are overpaid. Given the option and similar money, Eichel will bounce.
edit. Livability is one thing the Canucks will always have to entice free agents - CanuckDon
I spent 18 months in the Peg'... there's good and bad parts to every city... i liked the small town feel of the 'Peg... great live music scene, easy to get around... nothing wrong with Winnipeg... that's just media bullpoop... coming out of Toronto. |

you don't want your kids to turn out like a bunch of Hefty's. you are right to call her out - CanuckDon
For 47 years I've had to work really hard to keep my weight down. Struggled all my life. It's hard for guy as they age to keep the weight off. Smoking helps tremendously!
(frank), I just realized I'm a hypocrite.
Anyway, I don't want my kids to worry about weight issues as they approach their teen years. It's hard enough now growing up without any avoidable baggage, let alone with it. If they want to get fat when they are men then fine with me, but while I can control what they eat I don't want them to eat poop food.
It's been proven that obesity is 80% what you eat and 20% how you exercise.

His agent took to Twitter to refute the whole thing. Said it's ridiculous. Every player has issues with their coach at some point, I'm sure he's no different, things just get blown out of proportion and media outlets run with it #fakenews - LeftCoaster
Yes, but it's an interesting topic; what keeps a star-player playing in an imperfect situation? Does locker room environment matter? Is it a city's beauty? Or is it just about the money? |

To me it's a culmination of things, they've got some nice pieces there if they can get some defensemen....look out. |

Probably depends if they are young and single or married with kids, as well. |

I actually haven't been to Winnipeg. I have been to the American Cities. There aren't nice parts to Buffalo but I'll have to take your word for it regarding the Peg |

Fast food 3-4 times per week is terrible. It's a good issue to take a stand on. Get the kids into running. I am a bigger guy but got into track at a young age and kept up running into my adult years. Best way to keep the lbs off |

Tough to protect them from it. My parents rarely fed me the stuff, but the moment I had got control of my own money I was at McD's all the time. I was lucky to have a very high metabolism at the time, but it came back to haunt me once my playing days were over. Its taken 5 years to recover from the damage I did |

I think this is a disagreement over opinion. Buffalo ain't that bad in comparison. New Jersey has a bad rap but much of it is really nice. Much more 'country' than its reputation.
I've driven from Nova Scotia to FLA three times in my youth. Great trips. Loads of big city stops along the way. This is the honest truth, downtown Washington is one of the most scary places in North America. It is a gang infested poop hole. Even along the Mall, outside the Smithsonian, in front of any monument. It's crazy. Drive a minute or two away from all the government building and its all ghetto. Like, really bad ghetto.
Philly, Pitts, Hartford, and Baltimore too. Cultural ghettos and mass poverty. American dream my ass. |
