Who should we hire after we fire Kruger? Carol, can you make this your next poll question? - CanuckDon
A coach to take the baton from the guy who did the work. With playoff pedigree. |

As an Oiler fan I really hope Krueger does not get hired by Van.
He is a smart guy, great with young players, and was solid his one season with the Oilers in a extremely shortened season against only western conference competition. Which at the time was significant. - Aerchon
I don't see him taking a coaching position. Especially with Canucks.
Sounds like they are considering a management role for him. Kind of help the whole organization with player development. Who knows if he'd want to do that. Southampton is one of the better places to live in Britain. So EPL prestige and all it's a wonder where his interest is at. Still it's NA and Vancouver and NHL have some appeal. FA would have to flash equal cash and term to entice him. |

Worth a look for sure!

If you dissect that he scored 13 points in 60 games as a 17 year old, Juolevi had 42 in 58 games as a 17 year old. Just to compare. Again he may be a late bloomer? His numbers are really inflated this year because he was 20/21 years old playing against younger kids on a stacked team. |

For sure, those things are all relevant. But like a said, worth a look at least. |

My question for the day:
If we wait on the possibility of Quenville being fired at some point in the off-season (assuming the Hawks get booted in the 1st round), or the even slimmer possibility of Freddy Krueger becoming available in a month's time when EPL ends...do we risk alienating and possibly losing out on Green's services as well??
In other words, would it be better to sign T.Green sooner, or wait to see if better options present themselves later?
I await your reply's, along with the inevitable 'neither! they all suck' from Don. - dbot
Who's beating down Green's door?!? Only other opening is LA right now and they got their own Green type internally. As for Europe if he goes there it's not much of a step up from AHL. He might get a better pay day. But it won't up his stock for the NHL. He's going to weigh his options too but he's probably holding out to get tapped by the Nucks.
My guess is he comes on as an associate and or assistant coach if Nuck's are able to lure someone else.
So it only makes sense to wait and keep looking into options. |

Juolevi was 5th overall worth taking a gamble on the kid. Better odds than any of the other overage kids that are left. |

Yes maybe not a fair comparison, I'm just saying there's probably a lot of kids out there like him in the junior hockey world. I don't know much about him and I'm cautious with giving contracts out because there's not many to go around. |

Unrelated Question - I am in the market for a 2012 - 2015/16 Fuel Efficient SUV. I have read multiple reports online on which ones are higher rated and which ones aren't. Without clogging up this thread with unrelated SUV talk, can anyone PM me with a good experience they have had with a newer-ish SUV. Cheers guys. - Codes1087
I've been in the market for a while now. The newer SUV's are way better then previous. I took out a 2017 Rav4 Hybrid out the other day. I liked it. $40,000 though. I'll find a 16 or 15 to buy. Great fuel economy. Never thought i'd like a hybrid. |

Even if he never advances past the AHL he is worth a contract. I suspect he could step into Utica's top 6 next year easily. He will have plenty of suitors. I'd rather offer him a contract than Carl Neil or Olsen who the Canucks need to decide on soon. I think the whole 50 contract limit tends to be blown out of proportion. I can't recall the Canucks ever having an issue. |

If Carl Neill isn't getting a contract then I doubt Raddysh does. |

Cheers,
I have had a few PM's about different models. Definitely leaning towards used as the market is just poop right now. |

Misses the draft cut off by a single day! Oh well. I'll take him next year. Draft looks so much better. |

My parents just traded in their 2012 Journey for a 2016 jeep cherokee. $42 grand brand new. Got a 1 year used with 16000 km for $27,900. I doubt i'm ever going to buy new again. Oh and there Jeep is quite nice. |

I think the last contract space should be kept for a European player. |

I sure hope Van isn't in on him still. Doesn't make a lot of sense to sign Chatfield then. Use up the last contract space. |

I thought it was. I am wrong on this probably. I thought this was the topic when Molino signed that they only had 1 left. |

According to the article it says his skating is average. |
