Looking at JB's free agent signings over last couple months he's given MacEwen and Molino 1st round money equivalent ELC's. Chatfield 2ndround equivalent money.

They are probably highest on MacEwen competing for a spot at camp. If he shows enough hockey IQ with grit he's got a great chance as most forwards fall into the softer skilled type. They probably want to get his feet wet playing against pros with the Comets. But who knows. Labate, JV, Guance and DD, maybe Skille are closest competitors.

Though expect more options to come up through this offseason of dedicated change. JB knows he's only got one more crack at it and can't wait until next off season to make moves. In season is a stalemate of sorts. The TDL presents less options and by then too late to show enough. He's got to act now.

His free agent signings are evidence he's looking to do that and more.
