This is news to me. I go to a website called icethetics.co and he's usually on top of anything uniform related, I don't remember hearing about Carolina getting new unis and bringing back the storm warning flags.
So you mean for this coming season in the fall or season after?

Everyone is getting at least a slight redesign next year, with Adidas taking over uniforms.
But yeah, nothing official but have heard rumblings from folks in the organization that the warning flags might make a more prominent return.
May see a wordmark 3rd jersey the year after, too.

Ah, okay. I didn't figure Carolina would change theirs up too much so soon.
Your current 3rds are great but for the love of GOD can we please burn and kill any wordmark jersey that isn't the Rangers? FFS. The only decent one I've seen was Buffalo's 40th and even then, it wouldn't have worked if they weren't using a throwback design.

In fairness, a lot of guys said that about Bill Peters' system too when he first arrived. Took about a year and a half for the Vets to get used to it. Lots of pressure up front from the defense while the forwards fill the holes. - BINGO!
The only cup Bylsma won was riding the coattails of Therrien.
The penguins were a massive disappointment under him.
Most fans will agree with that, IMO.

Can confirm. Lived in Pittsburgh in 2010. They really wanted to literally run him out of town with pitchforks and torches. And they had just won a cup and had a 100 point season. That's saying something.
A friend of mine I met there was right on my case as soon as we hired him, too.

Word was that they're considering something similar to the throwback that the Checkers used this year.

I'll allow it. Those are nice jerseys. The socks tho.
The Cleveland Monsters did a gorgeous one a couple years back. So did the Rochester Americans. Actually, they played each other wearing them. Throwback wordmarks are the only time it works in Hockey at this point, IMO.
