I know that, but Lebron also didn't start lobbying for coaches to be hired/fired in year 1 or 2. They fired Paul Silas on performance, not based on a convo with James

He did that when he was established as someone who could take you places, and had a championship caliber team in place

it's a matter of depth, Bernie...the sabres don't have enough of it right now and for as much talent the leafs have, coached by one of the best in the business, I might add, I don't think the leafs have it quite yet either...

and as noted in the blog, they made it into the playoffs by one point...saying that Toronto would have one less loss with Matthews out of the lineup, as well as marner and/or Nylander, isnt' that far-fetched

No but if McCabe, RoR, Okposo, Eichel, Kane, Kulikov and Ennis stay even relatively healthy they do. If it was just one guy no one would be gritching...most of the team was injured for at least a dozen games.

Moulson, Gio and Foligno were the only players of ours to reach 80 games. Only 9 played 70. We were walking wounded most of the year.
