I expected that as soon as the rumor we were looking at him started. I knew people would start to turn against him since he wouldn't put up big numbers but would have the big contract.

How were Kane's advanced stats?

I ask because you seem to be all about them almost all the time and yet you are hung up on assists.

Also, I am not a fan of Kane at all as I think he is grossly overrated, but then again, so are many players who are labeled with the word potential as if it is solid gold.

Really good for the most part, but he's always been a high volume shooter with a low shooting%, so his shot totals are deceiving.

But he also has bad aspects. Horrible passer, takes a ton of penalties.

He's a 2nd line winger when on his game, 3rd line winger when off.

I'd wager Roslovic ends up a 2/3 center. It's just convenient he's always left out of the "slam dunk best player" equation

Its different everytime. but sometimes they like to allow the coach to bring in his own assistants etc. or the GM wants to select all the coaching staff. I think guys like trainers and equipment guys usually get to stay

To be fair, Roslovic is nowhere near the best player part of the deal yet, and that won't be known for how many seasons? Probably at least 2 based on normal player development, so like usual, the knee jerk reaction to call a winning side is dumb, as it is almost all the time.
