If you think about it this year probably went as well as it could have for the team. We win a few more games and we're going into next year with Kulikov and Bogosian in our top 4 with Murray and Dan at the helm - chilliard77
eichel injury may have been blessing in disguise |

If Murray had made the choice to fire Bylsma and told Tpegs at the end of the year, i wonder if he could have saved his own job |

I have to think so but from the sounds of it, Murray wasn't very prepared

In Tim Murray's first NHL Draft, he had picks at
2
31
44
49
61
74
121
151
181
That's a 1st, Three 2nd's and two 3rds.
Outside of Sam Reinhart, nobody else from that draft is even close to seeing the NHL.
That, as much as anything, doomed him. |

Maybe Leodis McKelvin, Ellis Lankster is a solid option |

Agreed! And the good news is that the new guy will turn this around quickly! I do believe that and the Sabres will be battling for a playoff stop next year barring major injuries! - MR.Hunter

IMO TM laid the seeds of discourse within the organization by his comments last week. Publicly criticizing the coach and promising a 20 year old the world spelled the end of his tenure. With the perception of an organization in disarray acquiring free agents or getting players to waive NM clause to come here would be impossible. Murray in his honesty Murray broke the rule of leaving certain criticisms of his coach, behind closed doors. Rarely have we seen any GM publicly and specifically criticize a coach. |

- jochfr
7 - Haydn Fleury (Will be on roster next season)
37 - Alex Nedeljkovic (Project goaltender)
67 - Warren Foegele (PPG OHL forward. Bit of a longshot, maybe a depth guy)
96 - Josh Wesley (Not a (frank)ing chance)
97 - Lucas Wallmark (Will be 4C next season. Played 8 NHL games this year)
127 - Clark Bishop (Nope)
187 - Kyle Jenkins (LOL no.) |

Especially since he had ample time to prepare. It's not like his meeting with them was 2 days after the season ended. He had more than enough time to come up with a game plan. - HonkFortheGoose
Take that Bucky HS with a huge grain of salt. I seriously doubt Murray had no answers going forward. The guy lives and breathes players and deals ............
i'm not buying it. |
